Multipurpose medium sized damage=free impact hammer. Handy tool.. GOTTA LOVE IT!!
Multipurpose is the best way to describe this tool. I bought it to put together some steel shelves, but I keep finding new uses for it.For example I went to repair a mosaic art piece recently. I used the softer end to tap the missing tiles back in, to make them level with the undamaged tiles around the damaged section. Some were tight fits, others had to be levelled to the same height as the undamaged tiles, so the surface will be smooth. The harder plastic side I can use for most things a regular hammer would do, except PULL nails.Especially good on wood, where clumsy hits with my hammer destroys the finish of the wood. .Both ends of the hammer can be removed and replaced Handy, right?

... hammering small gauge jewelry wire but it doesn't seem like that is what it is meant for
I thought this mallet would be okay for hammering small gauge jewelry wire but it doesn't seem like that is what it is meant for. Neither side made any kind of change in the shape of the wire. The mallet is well made though, and sturdy. I am sure I will find a use for it.

Good product for the price.
Decent tool, good weight and good feel in hand. I build African drums and that is mainly what I use this mallet for. Yes it did find a small amount of rust upon receiving it. But 20 bucks for a tool that if taken care of wisely will last. That is fairly rare for a hammer at this price range.

This is the very worst mallet l have purchased
This is the very worst mallet l have purchased. Returned it as soon as I received it. Very poorly made. Head was installed crooked on the handle that looked like it was whittled with a dull pocket knive!

Nice Hammer, soft tip not very soft
Nice little hammer. Wish there were other tips available. The soft-tip that comes with the hammer is a little too hard for some of the work that I need to do and it would be great if there were a variety of tips available to switch out to fit different needs.

Double Headed Damage Free Mallet
This has two heads and both are for a lighter type of work than the regular metal head mallet or hammers. We are using it to put tacks in to hold some vinyl onto shelf boards, and is working very well. Highly recommend for quality and price.

Seems to be well made
I have not actually used the hammer yet, but it seems to be well made. I got the medium sized one and it appears to be well suited to AR assembly and similar work. Time will tell.

The mallet itself seems to be of good quality.
I was promised a book to accompany the mallet. I never received the book. I feel a bit cheated. The mallet itself seems to be of good quality.
