This is quite sturdy and very compact
This is quite sturdy and very compact. Both very big pluses. BUT it's also quite heavy for a non full-sized monopod (37" instead of 67-72"). It's 10.5 oz, which seems reasonable enough, but add on a quick release plate and a monopod base, and you're tagging on another 10-15 oz for well over 1 lb in total weight for a self-standing monopod setup.Again, the weight seems reasonable enough unless you're using it for backpacking/hiking, which is primarily what I'll be using this for.I'm not quite sure what the deal with the strap is. It's not secured but instead attached to a free-moving ring above the foam grip. The ring can push down on the foam grip and cause the foam grip to slip downward. Since the strap is not secured, you CAN'T use it as a trekking pole strap. And it can't be removed, not unless you cut the plastic ring or the strap itself. So, I have this fairly long appendage that adds to the weight of the monopod while adding absolutely no utility value to the monopod. I cut both the ring and strap off.The monopod does NOT come with accessories despite what the product pictures suggest. I know, I know, I should have read the product description. This one's on me. However, the product pictures should have made it clear the accessories are NOT included. The accessory offerings on the product page includes two bases but not a trekking pole base even though this is marketed as a trekking pole. I found a couple of 1/4"-20 (1/4 inch, 20 threads per inch) accessories that should remedy that:(1) Spike(2) Rubber FootAnd here is the link to another monopod tripod base---All in all, this is a descent monopod. Apart from the complaints on the strap and the somewhat heavier weight, I don't have too many negative things to say about it. A solid 4 stars.

Well made and sturdy design and construction. Easily supports weight of Osmo Mobile 2 and iPhone
Feels like a reliable product. I attached my Osmo mobile 2 with my iPhone 7 on it. Its a decent amount of weight. When the pole is at full extension there a bit of a flex as is expected, however it still feels sturdy. The pivot joint up top is also reliable and did not give during my trials.WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IT: The strap that allows you to use this as a crane/jib very well (especially while extended). The sturdy construction, the style and the hole on the bottom to accommodate a tripod stand for more versatility.
