fan too loud and almost constantly on
As mentioned in some of the previous comments, the laptop is fine but the fan is running full speed almost all the time (even when no apps and downloads are running and hardware usage is very very low). Going to need to return it.

Misrepresented item in the photo shown
No optic drive. The photo shown shows the optic drive slot which is purely for misleading decoration. There is no optic drive within, in the version sold via Amazon.co.uk, although the same model sold in the US does indeed have an optic drive unit. The photo is misleading, and it would have been useful to point out that this unit does NOT have an optic drive. The optic drive was one of the reasons to opt for this model.

hard drive failed after 11 months
I liked this computer and recommended it to two other people (who purchased it). Unfortunately the hard drive just failed and I have had to send it back for repair. I found it difficult to contact customer support. When I finally reached Amazon support I found the person I spoke to had a strong accent and she was difficult to understand. She also couldn't do much in the way of troubleshooting. She tried to contact Lenovo support for me and when they rang busy she tried to get me off the phone. I was very annoyed. I am also not sure what I think about this product now...I asked the Lenovo support person whether the hard drive failure was common and he said they had had some issues earlier with a different model but not this one. I am in the sorry position of being asked again by two more people whether they should buy it or not and I really don't know what to tell them. If it is true that I just had bad luck and the hard drives don't fail then I can recommend them. I just don't know if I was told the truth.

Meh
Had it a while now, really should have waited and bought a better one. When it all works it’s fine, fine like ok but other times when I’ve had to re boot it for the fourth time because it’s not working properly then it’s about as much use as pair of boobies on a fish. If you can afford a better one then don’t buy this. You get what you pay for.

Poor quality isn't enough !!!
The lapop is extremely slow. After couple months of light usage: web browsing and pdf reading, it could take up to 7 min for the laptop to reboot, can't load windows menu in less that a minute ! Watching video with a poor quality.I was not expecting the world for this laptop but I've never seen such a slow one... rubishI would not buy it if i could :(

Avoid.
Slowest laptop ever. Came with bundled software that paralysed the operation of the computer and made power up a lengthy almost pre millennium process (circa 10-15 mins). Bought cheap - wish I had spent a few dollars more on something decent. Avoid.

The laptop is easy to use and looks good
The laptop is easy to use and looks good. It is however slow to boot up, quite loud and doesn’t run as quickly as you’d hope for a product at this price point. If you want a decent quality, average speed laptop for a mid range price then this is for you.
