Q: Are they the extra soft or just soft?

They are extra soft but don't collapse against your teeth like some extra soft or post-op brushes do. The tips of the bristles stay in contact with your teeth so you have a super clean mouth when you are finished with no gum irritation. They are without a doubt the best brushes I've used in my 64+ years on the planet. I hope they are always available.
