Needed a rain gauge that had a larger capacity than 5 inches. Bought this one and it meets my expectations. Plastic tube is clear and easy to read, the blue strip in the back helps with that. The metal stand holds the tube securely and once screwed together seems sturdy enough. The only negative is that the metal stand is a little short so to read it (without taking the tube out) I have to bend down a little. Not a deal breaker for me since I usually take the tube out to empty it anyway, but thought I'd mention it. Only had it a few days so I'll see how it holds up in the next few months.

This rain gauge is better than expected. The acrylic rain catcher is fabricated of substantial acrylic, crystal clear. The large numbers and fraction marks are easy to read. The steel holder is well made and is easy to insert into the ground thanks to the foot step. Everything is finished well with no raw edges.The rain catcher is held firmly in the steel holder yet is easy to remove to empty.We’ve already had two significant showers and knowing how much rain we had is helpful.

This item is really cute. It works well collecting rain with an easy to read guage. Its not the most sturdy thing in the world, but it is a very reasonable price for what you get. You wouldn't want any large dogs or kids knocking it over.

This was a great value for the money. It is easy to set up, and extremely easy to both read and empty.With the blue stripe behind the rain gauge, I can roughly read the contents from 30-feet away.Since the rain tube is a polycarbonate plastic that eventually will need replaced due to sun exposure. However, I will remove it at seanon's end and return it in the spring, so it should be good for several years.

Very easy to assemble and install.Has a good variety of settings and time spans to measure rainfall amounts.Display is very easy to read.Very handy bar across top to press to light up the display to easily check readings in a dark room.

This was easy to set up, and is easy to read. It happened to rain the first day we had it out, and it seems accurate - in line with what the weather report said. Mostly it gives us something to talk about with the other locals...

I really love this gauge. I've tried 2 others but I like the large numbers, marked in 10ths of an inch, and the back strip helps by making all the water look blue, not just the water in front of the strip. AND the birds seem to love pooping in it; which isn't a good thing but how do you potty train a cardinal?

So far so good. Nice quality product any very easy to read the rain we receive. All I have to remember is to empty it after it rains. 🤭😊
