An excellent buy for gaming at 1440P native resolutions
This was bought as an upgrade to my GTX 780 card specifically due to the fact that my target resolution for gaming is 2560x1440, with NVidia being my choice of card due to the fact that I own a GSync monitor. My base system is about 5 years old, although as games have pushed the boundaries I have upgraded as follows.i5 2500k processor factory overclocked to 3.6 GHZ.Gigabyte Z68X-UD3p-B3 motherboard.32 GB DDR3 System RamWindows 10 Professional 64bit Operating System. The GTX 1060 Super Jetstream has an oversize cooler which means that it encroaches downward into a third expansion slot space on your motherboard. In most cases this probably wouldn't matter but is something to consider if you are limited in space. Length wise the card is shorter than my old GTX 780, which barely fit into my case, but again for those with smaller cases is something that needs to be taken into consideration. However in general the GPU looks good and is easy to set up if you are used to tinkering inside your system, and only needs 1 6pin PCI-E power connection to supply the additional needed power.Connectivity wise the back of the card carries 1 DVI port, 3x Display port, crucial if you are thinking of surround gaming in the future, and 1xHDMI port.Perfomance wise I have tested this on a number of my games at 2560x1440 resolution, both old and new with a view to giving some actual figures, rather than just saying the card runs blisteringly fast. The caveat being that these were run on a GSync monitor so that for me the gameplay always felt smooth so long as the framerate stayed above 30FPS. The nenchmars through up some suprises. In most cases I disabled AA as at the target resolution, jaggies are rarely an issue.Shadow of Mordor - all settings maxed. the game ran at a relatively stable 55 FPS throughout, and this was despite using the Ultra Textures and AA, one of the few times that I was able to truly max out my game settings.Batman Arkham Knight - again all settings maxed and all nvidia gameworks features turned on the game for the most part ran between 50 and 60 FPS with donuts in the Batmobile and fast dives from a rooftop sometimes dropping the game into 37-39 FPS for a very brief time which was unnoticeable in gameplay terms.Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt - Ultra settings with AA and hairworks disabled, can turn in variable framerates but looks gorgeous. Depending what was happening on screen meant that framerates were fluctuating rapidly. Again at these setting I didn't feel that gameplay was affected adversely as the game remained above the GSyncs required 30FPS which avoided stutter. For the most part the game stayed within a 40 to 50 Frames per second average at these settings.Dirt Rally - All settings maxed ran at around a stable 50 FPS average.Assassins Creed 4 - Black Flag all settings maxed except for AA and PhySX which were disabled. Just for fun I decided to try an older title. Running AA and PhySX actually bought the game to it's knees, dropping framerates into the the realms of sub 20 frams at times due to the lack of a dedicated second GPU for PhySX, although I intend to tinker to see if I can improve things. Once these 2 were taken out of the equation however the game for the most part ran at a locked 60FPS, occasionally dropping to the mid 40s. The games itself without tweaking is locked into 60FPS as a maximum refresh rate despite your monitor. If the frame rates seem a little low, remember that this is at a high reoslution, and in all cases provided a seamlessly playable experience, with the caveat that I was running this on a GSync monitor. For the average user who just want to game This card is a must buy, with the 6 GB of VRAM providing more than enough ram for the tested titles.

Bang for buck
This card is an amazing entry level card this is the card you want. For the power it provides it is dirt cheap. The jet streams have some of the highest factory clock speeds these cards can have. That means that if don't feel like squeezing extra juice out of the card your self you don't need to worry and if you do well chasing that magic clock number just got a whole lot easier for you.Pros-Cost Effect-Best of the 1060 (clock speeds)-DX12 Compatible-Will probably run must games on High/Ultra based on the rest of your rig.-Easy set (nvida driver system takes over)-Can be overclocked easily-Comes overclocked out of the factory-Low power consumption-Colour Changing LEDsCons-Very Large Width (on some motherboards will over up other expansion slots or ports)-Not a 1070-Can not be Overclocked very high (only one 6pin so power is limited)Performance in my rig:If you have a fairly average rig you can probably play most games in ultra\high graphics. So my specs are as follows just so you can bench your self against PC this card went in.#8gb ddr 3 ram#AMD FX 8350 standard clock#Samsung ssd 850 evo (250gb)I haven't list everything only parts that have a major impact on frames per second. As you can see with Sub par specs you are probably capable of running most games between 60-100 fps.The look:Apart from performance the aesthetics of the card as very pleasing they fit in with almost any case. The card its self is grey/silver how ever you can change the LEDs colour on the side of the card with the packaged software. Its very simple you can select from a series of display programs from static colour the colour based on the temperature of the car. This will allow it to match any colour scheme.Very Big:One of the issue I ran into was the size of the card. The extra fans make the rest of your motherboard a lot less accessible. With this card i managed to over up 2 out of 4 of my SATA ports. I was originally going to run raid 0 on my ssds how ever due to the card covering my additional ports I am forced to run just a single ssd. (this maybe only an issue for me as I have an old cheap micro atx mobo) On newer mobos or bigger your ports will not be in the same area so you this might not be an issue for you.Would I recommend this?I would absolutely recommend this to anyone that is using anything less than 970. This is very much the cheap and cheerful end of the performance spectrum. If you want to play everything in high with a frame at 1080p with out breaking the bank this is the card for you. If you want to play 4k save your money go buy a 1070 you will only be disappointed with average sub 30 fps @ 4k.
