Brill piece of kit BUT read on for problems fitting
Literally this has saved me so much effort and time. I was having real problems finding a twin adaptor which didn't leak. The others available are all plastic and it often doesn't matter what you do or how you fit them, they leak! This one is water tight (as it should be) and is very sturdy. It fitted together with the plastic fitments on the dishwasher and washing machine BUTI know some other reviews say that it was a bit tricky to fit....tricky??? It took a while for me to fit it because it was slightly oddly cut on one part and I needed to get the angle exactly right for it to go on. Once on it was water tight and all was perfect but getting it on was a real problem. I was literally giving it one more try before returning it.So, some effort needed if you get one the same but it did fit in the end and was well worth the struggle.I should really give it 4 stars due to the struggle but having used it for a few months, I think it's worked its way back to a 5 star rating.

Brass washing machine Y piece
Well made, delivered quickly, no hassles. Perfect for the job, very tough unlike the plastic equivalent which seem very flimsy. Sealed first time. Would recommend if you want to put two washing machine hoses on to one tap. We've used to connect both hot and cold washing machine hoses to cold water supply because hot water doesn't have enough water pressure to run w/machine in a flat and to connect dish washer and washing machine to one tap to save installing another tap.Hope this helps.

Ball and socket
Fits well. The joint is a ball which allows it to. Pivot so you have a better angle to put in with pipes. I worry about this over time however no problems as of yet. Seems to be a very good build quality

an easy fix by just removing the plastic tap and filing ...
Well made piece of kit and does what its supposed to, my only criticism is that when I installed it the Isolation tap then did not operate properly as the collar of the item came too close to the tap, an easy fix by just removing the plastic tap and filing a bit of it away so it cleared the collar.

Better than the plastic ones
I brought a plastic y piece from my local DIY store and it worked great for a short time (3 days). I returned home from work to find my kitchen flooded as the plastic y piece failed on me. I decided to buy a brass one and I decided on this one. it arrived quickly and I fitted it with no problems. just make sure you apply some PTFE tape (not included). it has been fitted for a few months now and so far no leaks and no problems. I would recommend this product.

An absolute joke. I bought this as my cold water outlet is very close to the cabinet side, so this space saving Y connector would have been perfect. They sent me a totally different one which was much, much longer. I have been completely ripped off. Now watch this post get deleted. I have taken a picture of this post though and will put it up on my wifes Facebook wall....

Very nice piece of kit - some caveats though
This is a lovely piece of plumbing - very solid, well made. I don't understand why it is so hard to find in ordinary plumbing stores. Two caveats worth pointing out are:1) It is very sharp. I had read this in the reviews but still managed to get a brass splinter in my finger, so be careful when handling and ideally wear gloves.2) Because it is one single solid piece, it is a bit of a lottery as to where its final, fully tightened position will be. This means that you may not be able to actually attach the hoses. You also need to ensure that there is enough turning room to begin with. The solution to this is to untighten the gland above the isolator tap and move this to reposition it. This was not a job I wanted to do or even had the tools for so I employed a plumber. This obviously negated the whole 'buy it on Amazon to save money' but nevertheless I am pleased to have such a solid fitting and the plumber was very impressed with it too. Even he doesn't see them on a regular basis.
