Makes pillion riding so much more fun
Well made and fairly easy to fit. Great sound quality. Read the instructions for use carefully and be patient when waiting for connections to be made, these aren’t the latest tech, so things may be a bit slower than the newest versions.I tried using the Cardo app to control things, but nothing seems to work as well as simply using the headsets own controls.Very happy with these, they made our recent tour much more fun and now my wife has her CBT, I can be in contact when she’s riding her bike.

Fantastic
We have used the Q3 for bike to bike which has very good range, the Bluetooth works brilliant, no issues apart from getting them to pair once paired they are fine, ,the F.M radio is actually very good. We use moulded ear plugs with com's in which plug straight into the Q3 which has a superb sound quality we do not use the speakers provided, we have been told that if you use the speakers provided and put in ear plugs you cannot hear the Q3 very clearly, but we have had no issues.Fantastic!

It's good.....but has a few niggles
I bought this to replace a very cheap Chinese unit from Ebay as I liked the Bluetooth concept. My kit comprises of :BMW system 6 helmetMotorola Moto G phoneGarmin Zumo 550 satnavFitting the device:Fairly easy. I had to use the glue backed holder (there are two different ones included - one that's suitable for helmets without a base. and another one with a longer reach to get the device further up the helmet). The ear pieces fit inside a recess in my helmet, and there are "booster" pads to get them closer to your ears. The one thing that did fool me was how to change the microphone from a wired one to the (supplied) wired / boom hybrid one. The instructions aren't too clear but there a screw that you have to remove to do it. If you try and do it after you've fitted the unit to the helmet mounted base, you'll have to unscrew the assembly again, so if you want to change the mic do it before fitting the unit. One thing with the BMW helmet is the velcro fixing for the hybrid mic needs to be just at the point where the fixing stud is for the helmet lining, so it's a bit of a fiddle to get it mounted in an ideal position.Setting up:Easy to do but difficult to refine. I can get the phone connected for music and calls as one device, and the satnav connected as the 2nd device (you can only have two devices connected at a time). What won't work is putting the phone through the satnav and using the satnav as a phone display and connecting as a single device - it just keeps disconnecting. This used to work on my old wired system but I guess it's more to do with the phone or satnav than the Scala. The satnav holds the Bluetooth channel open for a few seconds after the announcement, so the music takes a few seconds to restart. If I hit a piece of road with loads of satnav announcements close to each other, the music doesn't come back and I have to press the channel button to reconnect.Battery:Good. It's good for 5 hours with music and satnav.Radio:A real faff to get tuned in and it seems to corrupt the Bluetooth connection.Volume:I find it OK and the auto volume increase with speed actually works. I can't see a way to change the volume on the satnav for the Bluetooth channel.Intercom:Not used it yet but annoying that it will only connect to other Scala devices.Phone:Volume is OK, but difficult to make myself heard.Overall, I like the device and will continue to use it. I don't think the technology is fully refined yet, so this is probably as good as any other unit. It came nicely packaged and seems well constructed. It's actually not much better at doing the job than the cheapo one that I had before, but that one just stopped working after a year so hopefully the extra money will be worth it for the longevity.

Not so good
2 years later they won't turn on they have charging issuesIt's upsetting when you pay alot of money for them only for them to fail quite a dissapointing product always had an issue with the microphone wouldn't work when on a call people could hardly hear me

Broke on second outing
I’ve resisted the temptation to have my motorcycling ruined by having someone talking in my ear, but now the wife has passed her test we can talk bike to bike as we go. It seemed to be going well. Fit and finish not bad, decent sound quality and the nice feature of noise sensitive volume made them quite usable but on my second trip out the cradle on mine failed meaning the wife could hear me but I could hear nothing. It hadn’t got wet or been dropped. Just stopped working. For me that’s not good enough for that amount of money so I returned it.

Excellent piece of kit
Excellent piece of kit for a husband and wife pair of bikers. Either in pillion mode listening to the same music or on separate bike having a chat. Highly recommended for any bikers out there. Now it's time to figure out all the gubbins that it can do as every time I whistle when listening to music, it does something!!!!!!The range is spot on and to date, we've never lost comms with normal distances between two bikers riding together.

Read my review
After turning units on they take longer than expected to pair, this led me to think something was wrong with them initially so give them time. Volume is high enough to converse at any speed which is the most important aspect for me. Sadly there is a 'tinny' resonance with the speakers so maybe some after market better quality speakers will need to be purchased. Sometimes, unit has to repeatedly turned off and on to connect to bike/phone/partner. Battery in one of the units has come loose causing the unit to rattle!!! Slightly disappointed for the price.
