The adapter works great if don't plug USB type-c power into it. When I plugged in the power to charge my 2018 MBP the adapter starts to get very hot, after a couple of hours everything connected to this adapter stops responding. This adapter appears to do something to the MBP or the MBP can't handle the video output, connected devices and power through the same USB type-c. I'm going to keep trying this off and on with different devices connected but as of right now I'm worried this might do permanent damage to my MBP.Update: Seller tried to get me to change my review in exchange for a refund. I won't be buying from them again.

Primary Use: Work - To connect to various HDMI peripheralsDevice: Lenovo Yoga 920 ( 2 USB-C, 1 USB -A ports)I use this primarily for work related presentations in conference rooms that have HDMI connections. I've connected to different tvs and projectors without issue. It works as expected and the additional ports are an added bonus for me. This adapter also provides charging, so I can present, charge my laptop and my phone simultaneously (I have not tried this, but I t's good to know that it is available if i need it).The rose gold color matches my machine, which i adore. It has a solid metal casing and comes with a little carrying pouch (that i keep at my desk and have written my name on, just in case I leave it in a conference room).

I recently purchased a new laptop which had only 1 HDMI port and while shopping for type c hub to take advantage of using my secondary monitor, i found this "USB C Adapter Tuwejia Type C to HDMI 4K+USB 3.0+USB-C ". This item got delivered to me on next day and I am very impressive of its performance. The hub looks stylish and compact with HDMI, USB 3.0 and Type C port. My secondary monitor which is a HD display looks brilliant when connected through this adapter and other good thing is I am able to charge my laptop in parallel. I see the speed on which the laptop gets charged through this adapter is similar to the speed that my laptop gets when charger is connected directly. for the give price, i would absolutely recommend this product!

I bought this thing last year in order to use a wired headset and USB C fast charging simultaneously on my Pixel 2. I can confirm that after a multitude of dongles, (this one, USB A Male to USB C Female, USB C Male to 3.5mm female), that setup works perfectly, aside from it looking absolutely ridiculous.I bought a switch recently and just remembered today that I had this adapter, and what do you know, the switch recognizes it as a dock (as long as sufficient USB C power is available, I was using the official USB C charger that came with the switch). Furthermore, I am able to use my Mayflash gamecube controller adapter in this setup by using the Black USB cable on the adapter (see photo). The instructions for the Mayflash adapter do explicitly state that you are able to use it with just one instead of both of the provided USB cables.YMMV, but hopefully someone finds this useful.

Bought this to use with my PC, but noticed it does USB-C charging also--turns out when I connect power and keyboard/mouse, it activates Dex mode on my phone! The Samsung Dex dock is $70-$100 to get this, but I was able to use this dongle for $20 to do the same. (NOTE: Dex mode only activates once I have the dongle connected to the charger, otherwise it does simple screen mirroring.) Works with my PC also to get dual displays working on my laptop, an Asus UX501VW, and it matches the color of my laptop too!The dongle itself has an anodized look with a silver bevel (I got the dark gray color to match my laptop's dark gray top) around the edges with about a 5" cord to extend out of the USB-C port. The cord is thick with good resistance, so the dongle isn't going to flop around, and there's no worry about the cord tearing out of the housing. The housing feels solid and well constructed too, despite being fairly light weight. In the box you'll also get a soft carry pouch to keep the dongle clean and clear of debris when in a bag.

I'm a big fan of this HDMI adapter, because it's compact. A lot of adapters are bulky. However, this one is fairly small for it's functionality. I think that's a nice bonus on the product because a small adapter is less of an eyesore when hooked up to a TV. I also haven't had a problem with the adapter functioning either. Overall, I'm a fan of it. It's well built and gets the job done.

We ordered a bunch of these for work to give out with new laptops (PC and Mac). We have had many issues with this adapter not working well with MacBook Pros, stops working after a few weeks, random disconnects. I recommend going with a more reputable (expensive) brand.

I have a Samsung S8 plus. Adaptor failed to work initially. I had to set the USB mode to PTP and it worked perfectly. To set the USB mode go to ---> Settings/Developer Options/USB Configuration. If Developer Options isn't in your settings, then go to the About Phone menu in Settings, then find the "Build number" entry and tap on it seven times. Once you've done that, you'll see a message that says "Developer mode has been turned on."

Initially I was sent a non-functioning unit. It did not function with my Galaxy S8.The most it would do was charge.Tuwejia contacted me to try and resolve this issue, and so I got a second one.The second one arrived, although the plastic where the HDMI and USB ports is not properly aligned, and the ports also don't seem to be properly aligned (USB port appears to be alright, HDMI is inset a little further on one side than it is on the other, USB-C port is party covered by plastic). See the picture I've attached.I had to use a knife to carefully remove the extra plastic over the USB-C port, but after plugging everything in, it works with my Samsung Galaxy S8 as a DeX station.I'm not impressed with the build quality.

Great pruduct. works as expected. Good price and it gets the job done. You can charge your device at the same time and also connect a mouse or keyboard while displaying it in the bigger screen . Would reco end 100 percent.

works great in my s8+, can use mirror or even Dex mode. Must connect the power to have HDMI output though?
