This mill makes a statement. Sure it's pricey, but it's a good deal for high quality wood, which is very durable and lasts forever. The inside is made of ceramic and stainless steel so it's hygienic and won't rust. It can be used as a pepper or salt grinder (it even comes with interchangeable "s" and "p" knobs). I used to buy disposable pepper grinders from the supermarket, but this looks so much better out on a table. It also has an adjustable grinder so you can use it for cooking or seasoning your food at the table. Love love love.

This grinder functioned well for the first month and now will only produce a very fine grind at a snails pace.While very beautiful it has totally lost proper functionality. I am very disappointed in the quick demise and while it sits on the table full of peppercorns no one reaches to use. Believe the quality of the wood and finish is great but the working parts are not durable. I am trying to l find out who made it and see if they have a solution in fairness to the manufacturer.Dennis

Very good tool!! Robust, very nice, grinds very fine or coarse. We use it for Pepper, so we didn't use the extra tip that has an S on it for Salt. We are a picky family when it comes to pepper grinder and nobody complains any more.... we have been using it for several weeks now.

This is a gorgeous, elegant, high quality pepper mill. The olive wood makes it versatile—it fits with either a casual or fancy table setting. The grind can be easily adjusted from coarse to fine, which is a great feature if you do a lot of cooking. I had a problem after owning it a little over a year, and Deluxe Essentials immediately sent me a replacement, no questions asked and no request that I return the original pepper mill. Wow! Totally made my day! I was really impressed with their high level of customer service. It is rare and very, very appreciated.

We have had a similar pepper grinder for years before it broke. Subsequently we had a very hard time finding one of the same size. We did not like the smaller versions. Upon receiving this pepper grinder, we were quite happy as it met our expectations and works great. Even though you can use it for salt, we use it strictly for grinding pepper.

The wood is pretty. However, if you want coarse ground pepper, this isn't for you. The difference between fine ground and coarse ground is minimal. Expected more for the money.

Both mills were lathed off center so when you turn the top it doesn’t feel right and they don’t line up. The screw often does not catch after refills and you have to pull up on the metal rod and the coarseness of the grind does not adjust well. I was trying to replace a set bought at Williams Sonoma by Bisetti that I received as a gift more than 14 years ago... it is clear that they may have been worth the cost and these were not worth the savings!

Nice looking, but it will not produce a coarse grind, making it worthless. Maybe I got a bad one. I gave it as a gift to a friend some time ago. I tried using it recently and I could barely get any grind variation other than fine. Would return but I think too much time has passed. I will look for another model to replace it for my friend.
