This is a GREAT tool for your dogs long hair. It works so well without hurting your dog. I have a dog with very thick hair and it works getting rid and thinning out the coat. He never knew I was thinning out his coat. He thought I was brushing him, which he loves, but bring a pair of scissors near him he runs. I am also able to sneak his flea stuff on him while thinning his hair. He runs when I start near him with the flea and tick repel.Once you use this tool then take a brush and get the lose hair. My dog looked so good once I finished and I think he felt better too.

We have four dogs, three are long coated and it is a challenge to keep ahead of their shedding. We had been using a fine wire brush to remove the undercoats and that worked well but after just a few strokes it became uncomfortable for the dog and he would not stand still. After noticing that the lady who grooms our dogs used this type of dematting tool and the dogs stood easily for her we decided to try one. They work well without scraping the dog's skin and as long as I follow the directions that came with the tool, the dogs stand still and seem to enjoy the brushing. Also the dematting tool is easier to clean out than a wire brush is.

We have 3 very large St Bernards and was looking for something like this, but every one we looked at, seemed so expensive. I saw this on Amazon and ordered 2, thinking for the price, they probably wouldn't last very long. Boy was I wrong! These are so well made, inexpensive and work GREAT!! I ordered one for my son's husky. He'll love it!

OMG. I wish I'd taken before and after pictures. Reminded me of sheep shaving. The key is to go slow and not force the comb through the hair. Long haired shephard. He tolerated this WAY longer than any brush I've ever used.

This dematting tool is the best thing that I purchased in the past years. I have two long hair cats and I can't shave them. (they won't let me) I tried haircutting sissors on them and ruined the shears. I bought a wire mesh brush that pulls too much and then they bite me. They let me use this detangler on them and it is so easy to use. It separates the knot and it slides through the mat. Best purchase I made in a long time.

Works ok, gets stuck in my husky's undercoat. Found my other undercoat comb and that just glides through. This is a nice product though I don't believe that the blades are sharp enough. You get what you pay for. I am happy that I found my old comb.

I have a Great Pyrenees and don’t know what I’d do without this thing. Every time I use it, I make a poof pile at least half the size of the Pyrenees himself, or bigger if he’s blowing his coat. If you have a Pyrenees, you need this!
