The Lesnow Solder Wick Braid with Flux has proven to be an indispensable tool in my electronics workbench. As an avid hobbyist and occasional professional, this desoldering wick has saved me countless hours and frustration when removing solder from PCBs and components.First and foremost, the 10ft length of the solder wick provides excellent value for money. With ample supply on a single spool, I don't have to worry about running out during extended projects or having to frequently restock. The inclusion of flux in the solder wick is a game-changer. The flux greatly enhances the wick's desoldering performance by effectively absorbing and dissolving solder, resulting in clean and precise removal of unwanted connections. This feature alone sets Lesnow's product apart from many other wicks on the market. The wick's width is ideal, allowing me to work with different-sized solder joints with ease. Whether I'm desoldering large connectors or intricate SMD components, the Lesnow Solder Wick handles it all effortlessly, leaving no residue behind. Moreover, the wick is made of high-quality materials, ensuring it doesn't easily fray or break during use. The weave of the braid is just right, striking a perfect balance between absorption and capillary action, making it an effective solder sucker. What's truly impressive is how well the Lesnow Solder Wick performs even with lead-free solder, which can be more challenging to desolder. This wick takes care of stubborn solder joints, making the whole process smoother and more efficient.I also appreciate the clean packaging of the solder wick, which keeps it tangle-free and easy to unspool. The compact design allows me to store it neatly in my toolbox without taking up much space. As for affordability, the price of this 10ft spool is highly reasonable, especially considering its performance and quality. It's a cost-effective solution for anyone who frequently works with electronics or engages in DIY soldering and desoldering projects. In conclusion, the Lesnow Solder Wick Braid with Flux is a must-have tool for anyone involved in electronics repair or soldering work. Its 10ft length, effective flux, and high-quality construction make it a reliable and efficient desoldering solution. It's not a miracle worker, but it can help you perform some technological surgery in a pinch!
Let's not kid ourselves - soldering can be a messy affair, and that's where Lesnow Solder Wicks come into play. They do an alright job at what they're designed for - extracting solder from joints and prepping pads for tinning.I won't gush about these wicks like they're some sort of miraculous invention, because they're not. They get the job done, but don't expect any fireworks. The wicks are reasonably effective in wicking away solder, though they can struggle a bit with denser joints or larger amounts of solder. One area where they perform admirably is in pad cleanup. They do help prepare surfaces for tinning, which is a plus. The precision of these wicks is also worth noting; they can get into tight spaces, which can be a lifesaver in delicate soldering work. Now, let's talk about the downsides. They can fray and break if not handled with care, which can be frustrating. And while they're serviceable, they lack the exceptional performance that some higher-end solder wicks offer. In conclusion, Lesnow Solder Wicks are a decent addition to your soldering toolkit. They'll help you get the job done, but don't expect them to perform miracles. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that can handle standard soldering tasks adequately, these wicks will do the trick. Just be sure to handle them with care to avoid any unnecessary fraying.

Works as you’d expect!
I’ve only had the chance to briefly work on something using this desoldering wick, and I don’t feel like it performed any different to any of the “major brand” items I’ve used in the past. Seems like good value!

It really does work for circuit board repairs. I also bought a solder sucker. Didn’t really need it when I used this stuff.

Hard to use if you don’t know how
I got this to try and remove some solder on an Xbox controller. Did not work as well as I had hoped. Probably more due to the fact that I’m relatively new to soldering and don’t have a ton of experience yet. It did work but just not as easily as I thought it would, again, due more to my inexperience. It functions as it is supposed to however. A solder sucker would probably be a better option though.
