Quick and simple to install into my water filter system. I have removed all the iron taste in my well water that was analyzed at 2ppm. Not real hi but leaves its signature in the plumbing! My toilet tank reservoir has clear clean water! Bowl is brite and shiny almost like it was when new back in late 1940's. Yes I have to still brush clean it but only like 2time a month! Not wvery 3 days!! Food, coffee etc. Taste clean fresh and very satisfying. PLUS when thru brushing TEETH and go to rinse the fresh taste is GREAT. I RECCOMEND you to install filter system if you don't have one yet. I am not a plumber nor an electrician bit i got a fair system in my home. Water softner etc. I first! Got some advice on parts to use when cutting into my water system and where to place which filter. My job with First time ever using a SHARK BITE fitting made the job so easy I think anyone that can thread fitting into another part, cut pipe, clean burrs and measure will have BEST WATER IN YEARS!

I bought these filters because of the 5 micron rating. We have quite a bit of fine brownish-red sediment in our well water. While the filters seem well made, and install just like any other, I'm not convinced of the 5 micron rating. The test at our house is the amount of red sediment settles out of the water in the toilet and forms a coating on the porcelain. These filters seem to allow more sediment through than other, name brand 5 micron filters. It's not a dramatic difference, but noticeable, especially toward the end of the filter's life. It's a pretty subjective test, so I can't swear that our sediment hasn't gotten finer, or more plentiful. For filtering out most of the other minerals and debris, they seem to be fine. So I can't say not to buy them, or that they aren't a good deal. Just see how they work for you...

They always work great

These are good filters equivalent to the ones you would buy at a big box retailer. Some had said they are a bit too tall but they fit both of my sediment housings easily with no issue.
