Difficult to secure roll after use

Not Closed Cell
When I saw that the spec for this spoke about automotive and marine use, it seemed reasonable to assume that it was probably closed cell, but it isn't. I'm not sure who would want to use something that soaks up water like a sponge for marine use, while there are similar products out there that specifically say they are closed cell. I wanted this for a bathroom sealing application, but guess I'll be getting a different product for that and use this one in a less demanding role.

Mediocre tape
The foam feels nice and dense.The backing tape used to protect the adhesive layer was separated inside the package, meaning the adhesive layer was stuck to the foam in multiple areas.Then when applied, this stuff doesn't stick very well either. It's held somewhat okay on the strips placed vertically, but a gentle pull causes it to become undone easily. For strips placed horizontally though, it has separated from the framing as it seems the tape can't even support the weight of the foam.
