Minor corrections to product description.

Maybe more later, but just a couple of clarifications to the product description. It seems like a great little player, volume is massive and not muted per EU Regs. It has no internal memory as most players do - you will need an SD card to store anything. The card slot is MICRO SD - not standard SD as listed. Also it shows the SD capacity as 512Gb - In fact my 1Tb card works perfectly well, so that is not a limitation.UPDATE After living with this for a few weeks, I'm more and more happy. Sound is fantastic, player is easy to use and reliable. One minor drawback is that the firmware might be better are organising your files - for example, I can select by genre and then by album title, but not by genre then artist. And sometimes the firmware will second-guess you on your own defined attributes - so James Brown is listed under the firmware's genre of Funk, not my genre of Soul. But these are minor quibbles for a unit of high quality and great value for the price.

Cracking little DAP 👍

Prior to this have only used a Sony A45 series DAP. This is an entirely different experience. So far am absolutely loving it. If at a later date have any problems will update. I'm also going to add some stuff people may find helpful.First off it's TINY. And loud. How can such a tiny thing be so loud? Tis witchcraft. The OS is basic very different to the slick Sony screens and to get the most of it use the Hiby Music app.Once it's connected by Bluetooth to the player it works as a controller and can play all the music from a phone or tablet to the player. You have to use wired headphones to listen to the player though.I didn't have a problem inserting the SD card (format on PC beforehand as FAT) just push in till it clicks.Sound wow. I don't have 600 ohm headphones mine are 32 ohm.On my Sony it was turn its volume to max or run them through a headphone amp. On the player alone it will run my 32 ohm Shures in passive mode at a comfy just under 50. So I'm amazed how much gain is in this and this is set to low. My Sony MDR 1am2 at 16ohms is literally running on 10 on the volume level.Playlists are a nightmare to import as it only recognises them as mSu format. I had to redo mine on the Hiby link app. They can be done on the player or through the Hiby Link app. Though I'm sure someone smarter than me know how to transfer them directly. The Ebook function does work. Ebooks will need to be added as txt. filesThere's Ebook converters online which will convert epub etc to text files. Tip - set the font size to large unless you have amazing eyesight 😁Only negatives is a small battery but not too bad. It's certainly not as bad as the Sony A105 which if used for anything except wired listening runs out in no time.Only Bluetooth 4.2 so a short range then gets stuttery. As for Bluetooth no automatic codec switching connection of headphones so you have to manually set the codec for whatever headphone restart the player, connect them and good to go.Inputs are standard 3.5mm unbalanced and 2.5mm balanced.Hope my review is helpful.

Excellent little player, with a couple of minor issues

First the "bad" :The volume control is finnicky to operate, especially if you have the leather case for the player, but once can also change volume via the touch screen within the "song playing" window.Once you move the volume control the whole display becomes a touch screen slider where you can change volume more easily. The screen is small, and can be really awkward to change things in the E.Q. , your finger will cover the numbers so you can't really see very well what it's changing to. A small stylus will do the job better. But I've found there is absolutely no need to fiddle with the equalizer , the out of the box settings are fine as they are ( IMO )Sound quality IS amazing. The bass, mid and treble all stand apart beautifully. My car only has stock speakers and even on those it sounds incredible. Put it through a decent set of IEM's or speakers ( I have Edifier speakers in kitchen ) and it sounds amazing.Make sure you enable "Stand by" in the options or you may find the battery flat the next day. When I use it in my car I turn it on and leave it next to the handbrake ( the bluetooth range is good too )But when I get home I turn off the stereo and the player SHOULD stop too, but a couple of times I've seen it still playing and if you don't stop it your battery will be flat the next day. Stand by mode only kicks in if the device isn't playing. The only other niggle is something that would apply to ALL players, the difference is quality and volume between different mp3's .Some can be quiet and average quality , but the player still manages to TRY and get the best from them.A normalization feature would have been nice, otherwise go through your entire mp3 collection and adjust them manually ( nope!! ).I couldn't justify spending more than this on a player, and for the amount it costs it sounds great.I used to play music via my phone, but doing that AND using Google maps while driving just chewed up battery life, so I wanted a dedicated player. The difference between this and my phone audio is night and day.100% worth it if you don't want to spend more than £200

Compact but full of features

A brilliant music player that covers all formats.I use for my wav, flac, and DSD rips. Its easy to use and set up.I set the soundscape up to my liking via the function (I didn't have to use the EQ function). The software is by Hiby and it's easy to go through the menu.I paired is with some decent headphones and it has a lovely sound. One thing you may be surprised of is the size,it's Tiny.
