I like that this is one part of a matching set. There is also available a hardwired version for mounting to a ceiling or wall and that is controlled by a switch.This little lamp has some high tech features that can be frustrating to learn at first, somewhat un-reliable but totally cool and overall useable. After getting used to it, it becomes easier to get it to do what you want.You wave your hand over it to turn it on/off. Keep your hand at least an inch away.To set the dim level, just place your hand on top of the light and hold it there. The light will raise and lower the light level. Remove your hand when you reach the level you want. It can go from very dim to full bright which is almost the equivalent of the hardwired version.There is an on/off switch on the bottom of the light. It allows you to turn it off completely and not respond to hand gestures.It comes with a USB A to USB C charging cable.Overall the light is quite nice looking and the light output is good. It makes a great portable and dimmable lamp. You can alternatively leave the USB cable connected and not worry about charging the battery. I think it looks great. It is compact but a perfectly portable and useable size. 4 solid stars.
