Improvement over the older version
The placement of the paddles are terrific just as the old version. The addition of the two button on the rear housing is also very accessible but it does take a bit more effort to hit as you'll need to reach in a little more with your fingers. Though most games only rely on you actively using two buttons such as jump and dash.Having bumper keys made a huge difference in many games. Now you can keep your right thumb on the analog stick so you can look around during a jump or while trying to roll for safety. You can also perform more advanced moves such as jumping and acquiring target to shoot while air borne. The included back cover has rubber padding which is a welcomed addition. Overall I'm very happy with the price and quality of this remap kit.

Works great and pretty easy to install.
I have very limited knowledge taking apart and soldering electronic equipment. I ususally play on PC and use PS4 controllers until they get drift. For paddles on the PS4 remotes I use Collective Mind's Strike Pak, which I still feel works great and am not getting rid of it. However, I became interested in using a PS5 remote after playing with it on the console. Found this product and thought it seemed like a fun little project. Was a bit nervous buying a brand new PS5 controller and taking it apart due to my limited soldering skills, but the install video is very well done. FYI there are two different ways to hook up the Rise4 depending on which controller version you have. I did not realized the video shows both methods one after the other and installed one of my connections backwards. Once i figured out there was another showing the install of my controller version I took it apart again, followed these instructions, and it has worked perfectly ever since. Now the issue I am guessing will happen is drift. It's already happened to the 2 original PS5 controllers we bought not even a year ago and am guessing it will happen to the one I installed the Rise4 on. Personally I don't think I will take the time to take the controller appart and try to move the Rise4 to another controller when or if this happens. That would involve unsoldering connections which I am not comfortable doing. Really enjoying it so far and fingers crossed I don't get drift for a while.

Improved my times in GT7
Easy to install. I skipped the touchpad mod but did L3 R3. Works great. In GT7 you can set up to manage the MFD, or manual shift and nitro for drag racing. Lots of flexibility. Wish it had a multi position slide switch for different load-outs. I was worried it would compromise grip or be too easy to hit the new buttons but once you get used to it it’s fine.NOTE: this is NOT compatible with Sony charge station unmodified. I was able to successfully modify the forward charge slot to work. You cannot modify the rear slot because the charging PCB is located just behind it under the PS logo. You can do this mod WITHOUT disassembling charge station, but I didn't know that when I started. Here is the procedure:Remove the soft liner from the forward slot by easily prying back the four corner clips and then pull it straight out. Set the controller against back of the slot and mark how far button pack extends over the carrier. Mark the sides following the same angle as the current slot (see second photo). Because I disassembled I ended up cutting too far down, below the level of the white sides and more than needed to clear the button pack (see first photo). So just go down a little above the white sides. Only remove the material as marked. Do not remove any more as there is a brace to hold the spring just below this. Cut off the back part of the soft liner and reinstall to cover the front of the slot. Done!

Sent me a return. All items opened by someone else.
I was sent a kit where everything was opened up and screws were missing because they were all over the bottom of the box outside of its packaging. It was most likely a return from another customer, what a shame. i did not open any of the boxes contents, it was already ripped open by someone else. it came with the outer seal ripped as well, didn't even try to hide it
