After over 32 years with Sky it dawned on me that almost all of my recordings were of programmes freely available on freesat and that I seldom watched sky live tv.After some research I chose a humax freesat HDR with an SSD and am glad I did. Easy to setup and use and the the picture in HD is much better than that provided by sky, even the SD seems clearer. In use the box is totally silent and responds to the remote swiftly and smoothly.I had a couple of questions so contacted the seller who was able to immediately help me. Great service.

Couldn’t tell wether on or off didn’t say that you carn’t receive itvX I took it for granted that I could as I have a 4K Freesat box which I can receive itvX not impressed with what you get for the cost the ssd hard drive doesn’t seem any different from the standard hard drive

Excellent quality, very clear picture & easy to use & set recordings

The free sat box arrived quickly. There was no setting up instructions and I was fortunate to have bought another box from a different seller and it came with instructions.Once connected I got it tom communicate with the TV and then everything went like my other box. It now works very well and I am pleased with it. I would have given it 5 stars if it had come with instructions.

Previous models of which I have 2 failed on the back button and Humax just gave up , so I will never buy any of there products again.

Welcome home, Humax. If this box lasts as long as our initial one from them - we’ll be dead by then! Only 4 stars as the blue/red light is so well hid underneath the box - there’s no indication as to state of play! I tried putting tin foil to reflect, nada. Oh well.
