Good, old fashioned radio - simple to operate and perfect for my sister to listen to BBC Radio 4. Not too big, not too small.

I have just received this and am very pleased with it. It is a radio like they used to be - simple to use without all of the bells and whistles of some of my other radios (such as preset stations, which get lost when unplugging, when I only really listen to one station). It has a nice retro look, is weighty without being heavy, stable and sturdy, easy to carry and has just 4 dials - tuning, volume, FM/AM and low / high tune. Best of all, it takes 3 large D batteries which should last much longer than the typical 2-4 AA batteries in many other models. I prefer not to use mains power as the lead gets in the way and it makes the radio less transportable. It is not a DAB radio, but the sound is very good. Although it's early days, I have high expectations.3.4.23 Update. I have now used this radio for a few weeks and absolutely love it. This radio was for my dad who is in his 80s. It is so simple to operate and he is very pleased with it. Its a good sturdy wee radio and worth the money.
