I'm so pleased with this step stool - it's so well made and very sturdy! I looked at quite a few step stools and a lot of them didn't appear very sturdy and also were lower height. I was looking for a stool to keep in my kitchen so I could reach my higher cabinets, but didn't want plastic or metal. I wanted something that looked nicer than that, so I searched wooden stools - this one fit the bill. It's a perfect height and compared to most of the others I looked at, it also has a bit more foot space to stand on. It's well finished and very sturdy. I love the slot opening on the top which makes it so easy to pick up and transport. I highly recommend this stool!

The wood is maple or some nice hardwood and is very solidly built - not one wobble. This stool holds the weight of a 240 lb man standing on it! Just so you know.I estimate it will last a decade or more, it's so well built and quality wood. Very happy with this stool, which is a bit taller than typical models you can find for bathroom or children use.

This is the perfect small size for my kitchen and the opening in the middle is nice for carrying. Just enough height to reach top shelf cupboards and switch out decor above the free standing pantry cabinets. My husband and I both use it to stand on and feel very stable. We also use it to sit on when putting on shoes or the dog's harness. We have also used it to set things on, like the dog food bin when scooping food, so that we don't have to bend down to the floor.

My included photo shows exactly how I use the 12'' stool. I often sit in this chair while changing my shoes. I got tired of reaching so far down to the floor. Now I can rest my shoe on the stool, which is much easier to reach. I had planned to use my router and electric sander to refine the woodwork, but every aspect was good as is. The existing finish even matched the chair that I was going to use with the stool. Extremely sturdy and precisely made.

This is a great little stool for the kitchen, but the main reason I got it is to assist with doing pull-ups on my doorway-mounted bar. ;) I didn't want cheap plastic or metal, so I chose the light wood color so it looks nice in my home. I would have rated it 5 stars but it's a smidge unbalanced on the floor - enough to slip 2 credit cards beneath one of the legs to even it out. I don't notice it on the carpet, and it feels sturdy to me. I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't really comment on durability. However, it seems like it will last quite a long time. I will likely buy another one to use with my massage table for clients who are vertically challenged (like myself).

Solid, well constructed. 12" high. Bought for my toddler. As a small just-turned-3-year-old (35" tall), he is just starting to be able to use this to reach our sink (34" bathroom counter). It's still a bit too high for him to step up to himself though (we have to lift him up). It's also too tall to use with a standard height toilet. However, this stool is also the perfect height for parents to use to sit with a potty training toddler (perfect height to read books with him at the big toilet). I purchased this in the natural color for my newly remodeled kitchen. My cabinets go much higher now and I’m 5’2”, so I needed a little “boost” to reach the higher shelves. My husband actually sanded the stool down and stained it to match our new floors. It looks great and is very sturdy. My husband has used it too and he’s 230 lbs. You won’t be disappointed!

Purchased two so far like this. Used for toddlers to wash hands brush teeth. Toddlers can pick it up and take it to the sink themselves which they love to do. Also useful for grandma reaching things just too far up. very sturdy and beautifully made. A Bargain. Also used for a time out seat or a television watching seat for small ones. Unending uses so far. Only problem is you have to keep an eye on said toddlers because they will use it themselves to get things they could not otherwise reach.
