This is our third and last time we will order this cable. My son plays on his tablet for hours and an unfortunate design flaw of this Samsung Galaxy notebook is it's power charging port is located at the bottom of it which places the cord in your lap if you are using it while it's plugged in. This has caused us to go through 7 cords now because the constant pressure and bending at that point shorts out the cords.I thought this cord would be ideal because of it's reinforced ends that appear to be made to prevent just this kind of thing from happening. However, it still happens except now we get the added bonus of those metal springs and ends getting hot enough to burn you! This last one got hot enough to melt it's own plastic and started smelling like burning plastic smoke before I caught it. We thought it might just be a fluke the first time, but this happened twice now and we will no longer be buying these. Luckily this is not a post about how we are suing the company for burning down our house.The only reason I didn't give it one star is because I assume my son's use of this cord had some bearing on it's failure and that if used to charge the tablet while it was off and not in use then it might be fine. Nevertheless, you burn my child and you get a bad review. I just received this cord, so this review is necessarily limited.It appears to be sturdy enough, and I have had no issues charging. It arrived on time and in good condition. For the price it will have to completely fall apart and stop working for it to be a complete piece of garbage or to not be a decent value.

If you are tired of getting non OEM cables for your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and having a bit or miss experience with wether they will function or not (because we all know that non OEM cables are troublesome at best) than worry no more. This cable works. It worked right out of the package and is charging my device just like the OEM cable would. You may even use the cable to charge the device while using the tablet. This is an area where a lot of other cables fail. Not this one. The added spring covers on each end should help to alleviate and cable damage from drooping or tilted positions and should prolong the life of the product as well. These cables even look and feel high dollar with outstanding build quality. I can highly recommend this product.

This is a nicely done cable, I like the spring reinforcement supports at the stress points as my OEM cable broke there and that's why I ordered this one. No troubles with the fit and finish and it inserts perfectly in my Sammy Tab 2. I ordered the 6 footer for extra versatility. It also charges my device perfectly and fast. I haven't used it for data sync but think it will work fine... will update this review once I know for sure. Safe packaging and no damage on speedy arrival as well. I would reorder this again. I hope this helps you out.

Third item i ordered to try and get a charger to work for my Galaxy Tab 2.0 10.1.... the other one 'looked' right, but wouldnt fit. This one fit perfectly. Its charging as i type. Can't beat it for the price, thats for sure. Even came a day early for the delivery date.

At first this cable seemed perfect. I was always careful about its removal from the tablet as that seems to be the most likely issue with all cables; damage resulting from bending at the necks. Apparently my care didn't matter as the cablet only lasted 20 months. A lot of people might think that I got my money's worth but you can buy a device that fits over the neck of these cables to prevent damage from removal. The necks should be more durable, its the known problem, so why isn't care taken in making them last longer than 20 months. I did not get my money's worth. I expected at least two years and more like 5 years for the price I paid.

This seems to be made of good materials & the long cord is useful. But I think it requires the user to exercise care. You can't yank it out by the cord because it could break. Instead, plug in & out by holding the hard metal parts. I can't give much more of a review because the computer it was bought for stopped working a week after I got the cable.

It's a fantastic plug cord. Works well and even with stands my 2 year old grandson and his 1 year old brother
