Good Sun Shade for a Pergola
[Edited] This is a perfect fit to add shade cloth to our cedar wood pergola; we have it hanging about 4" below the cross-members. We wanted the package deal that included hardware, but Amazon is out of stock. So we ordered from an alternate Amazon supplier. DO NOT BUY from the alternate suppliers that offer for incredible prices...we got stung on a scam on Amazon.ca (Thanks Amazon for the no hassle guarantee). We re-bought the shade and the hardware here on Amazon.com separately at a bit more cost. The photo shows a cloth that looks more matte...kind of like Sunbrella. That's not what we got. The cloth is a plastic weave which looks a bit shiny close up...a bit greenhouse or industrial looking. Once installed, though, it looks fine. There patio under this shade is much cooler.Update: When we put it up it was taught. But,it stretches and becomes a bit baggy, possibly due to the wind moving it up and down. This is no big deal, but it is not easy to keep taught, if this is what one needs. We're still happy with it. We're guessing that none off them of this design would stay taught. But there is another sort offered on Amazon that has grommets all around the edges; perhaps they might be better if tautness is important to you.

perfect for shading plants!
I needed this for my plant cutting garden. It is perfect. lets water through but shades my plants. Very easy to install with grommet-ed corners. I recommend this shade sail and would buy again.

Very effective sun shade.
Until I had this hung over my little deck, it was impossible to sit out there because the sun was so bright. I really like this item. It's almost like having an enclosed patio, but it can be removed. I wish I hadn't waited to long to get it.

Transformative

Sun Shade
Shade works fine keeps sunroom 10deg or more cooler than without. Didnt realize that it was a plastic weave, make sure it doesnt lay on any hot surface.
