Good product for its price
Old commentUsed for one day so far. I noticed an improvement overall of my network. Good product for the price. My note is mainly coming from a lack of documentation, the product owner website where I have not been able to find the product/firmware and which was not fully working...I also like the design and led indicators.New comment:I have swith my note to 5 stars because of the points below:* First of all, thank you to Allen from JCG for his support by providing me the link of the updated firmware and its availability to configure the router if needed. Allen feedback and at least follow up pushed me to switch to 5 stars as the service is there to complete the lack of documentation!* The comment done by another user also helped a lot in configuring the router/repeater by having a better understanding of the functionalitiesI really think that for the price the product is of good quality since it is supporting 2.4G / 5G. I do not feel to much the absence of Antenna and receive the WiFi in the area which where not covered in the past. I am not sure how my devices are switching from one to another one WiFi access (router or repeater) but so far i did not noticed too bad baud rate... will see when the time will come to play online! My next coming steps will be testing a bit more the SW of the JCG by exporting configuration / updating firmware /re-importing configuration / check the new features.

Has been working great for over a year
I have 2 extenders in my home. I need to replace one and it’s not my JCG.I have had my JCG for over a year now. It has required a restart (unplug/plug back in) maybe 4 times all year... and usually I’m conjuction with having to restart my router. I use it to provide a Ethernet connection to my work from home terminal connecting to my employer’s VPN. Sometimes I am connected to the VPN for 10-12 hours and I have no issues. I’ve tested speeds of up to 286mbps.I cannot say the same for the Linksys extender I owned (their customer support was less than helpful when the product completely died in less than a year) or the Netgear extender that I replaced the Linksys with. I have had nothing but issues with both of them. Requiring restarting almost weekly at times.Since the Netgear is giving me issues now, I decided I might just buy another JCG and browsed through my past orders for the link. I was surprised to see so few and so many negative reviews for this product. With a year’s experience with this extender, I can say I am very pleased. My experience had been nothing but positive, so I had to write my own review.

Product WORTHLESS!!!! Seller communication Excellent!
It turned on, it connected, then the actual coverage was HORRIBLE! It wouldn't even assist with opening regular email. Forget trying to connect to facebook or download anything small. It was WORTHLESS!Update: the seller contacted me and we emailed back and forth about some trouble shooting ideas. Unfortunately I had already packaged the item up and it was dropped off to the post office that morning. We confirmed that things were set up correctly, so maybe the item was defective. They offered to send me a brand new one but I declined. The customer service from this seller was nice. Due to this I am giving them another star. Maybe a replacement would have worked, I'm not sure, I chose not to take that route and that's not bc if lack of customer service from the seller.

Works like a charm....once you set it up.
Very Cool. Works like a charm. I must admit that the instructions could be a tad better and simplified. However, there are videos on how to set it up. I have been using it for about 3 days...and it seems to provide a significantly better signal where earlier we would have devices unable to connect to the wifi with weak and failing signals. I went through 2 iterations to set it up...and the only thing with messing up was that I re-initialized the wireless extender and started over again.

Total waste of money
Total waste of money. I have xfinity internet and I get 100mbits + download speeds in the room with my router. I followed the setup instructions with the JCG plugged into an outlet in the same room, connected to the ext network, and tested the speed again and it was < .5 mbits. Gets even worse when I move it further from the living room which is what I bought it for. Completely unusable.

Did not work well
I work as a network administrator. I do bridging, routing and switching with wired and wireless networks with virtual and real machines. I could barely get this to work. The throughput was glacial. I would not purchase again.

Pretty good coverage for the money.
Works reasonably well but the physical shape of the field of wi-fi coverage changes from time-to-time. That being the case, I occasionally encounter dead spots where my connection drops off as I move about my yard.

Two Stars
Don't waste your money. It's not worth it.
