This works great, just don't let the batteries run out. Take them out when not using. I use this to be sure my cat gets a meal every 4 hours. He has pancreatitis and if he doesn't eat a little regularly he throws up. I set it to go off during the night, that way he doesn't wake me up too early for his breakfast. I've also used them for outdoor cats and lent them to some of my clients when I'm not available and they can't find someone else to take care of their cats. I don't remember if this came with an ice pack, some do, some you have to purchase separately if you are using for wet food. I like to have an extra ice pack or 2 so if you need to reset it right away, you can have one ready.

Easy to set up and use right away. Been using for weeks and no need to replace battery. Can place it “anywhere” because it does not need a cord. No cord to keep track of and risk misplacing too. Feeder is very quiet. I was concerned there would be a loud ticking noise, but it is very quiet. Easy to wash dish. Dish is removable. Just make sure battery is in and firmly-first use battery wasn’t snug enough but repositioned battery and it worked.

Great product for timing meals when not at home for pet .. only negative is numbers come off the dial over time and difficult to see the time

I've purchased and returned a half dozen automatic cat feeders. Not one survived my sweet boy (a 16 pound ginger with attitude). And wow - some were just too complicated and noisy. I don't need wifi bluetooth voice notification add ons. Just a simple feeder I can set and forget. And that is exactly what this is. VERY simple, very basic - and the only automatic feeder that has kept my cat from waking me up at 4:30 in the morning to let me know it will soon be time to feed him; then at 5 am in case I forgot; and at 5:30 to count down the minutes.... It has two compartments and you turn a dial for the number of hours until you want them to open. One battery. Two, hard plastic components. I put kibble in one side, and wet food (with a cold pack under that section) in the other. Done. Yes: it is durable. Found that out when I set it to open at 10am instead of 6am... found the feeder (unopened) at the bottom of the stairs. I liked this so much I got one for my niece and a back up in case Amazon stops selling it.

I bought this to leave food out for a cat that eats too fast and would not allow a big bowl left out over a night otherwise it would be gone and there would be vomit everywhere!The size is perfect and I have used it for wet and dry food.You have to remember it works based on the number of hours you want the lid to open, as there is no clock . It is easy to pull the tray out and clean and easy to set the timer as it shows a 24 hour dial. Just put it to the number of hours you wish it to open in and it pops right up.I was concerned my cat might be afraid of it and not eat but that was not the case. When I came home it was always empty.There have been some reviews stating a continuous sound when the battery is in, I can say mine is very quite with no sound what so ever.It isn't the feeder for you if you will be gone more than 1 night as there is only the 24 hour dial and 2 spots for food.If you just need it for a night or a morning you just can't get out of bed, this is the feeder or you.
