So, I got this foot massager. It's lacquered and all wooden with the last two spools with pegs. I purchased this due to the great comments that others had posted. Here's my take - it's okay, does a decent job massaging. Build quality is so-so, some of the 'rungs' were not placed perfectly even, and I will suspect at some point that the metal bars that they are held together by will pop out. They over-lacquered all the parts, so there is some sharp points, which I had to buff out. Some of the rungs don't even spin evenly - they have a wobble and I noticed that the metal bar is bent in some locations. Nevertheless, the massager still works until it falls apart.

I’m not a huge foot-massage lover. I have sensitive feet and honestly, this massager definitely caused havoc in terms of my ticklishness. I could barely use it without getting tickling chills sent through my spine. With that being said, a few of my friends who don’t have nearly as sensitive of feet as I do have used it and loved it. If you have really ticklish feet- opt out of this one. I use an electric foot-soaking massage machine that I love, but this one just doesn’t work for me. On the other hand, if you want something that really gets into your pressure points- this will do the trick.This massager is made of a group of rolling sections that you slide your feet back and forth across. The points on the rolling sections dig into your feet, massaging an array of pressure points and muscles. It definitely relaxes your feet and really gets into the muscles. You can choose how hard you press and how much pressure is applied to your feet- so you can personalize the massage to your needs.This massager is very durable and definitely quality made. It’s very heavy and easily stays in place no matter how much pressure you apply to the rollers. The wood is coated with a thick layer of finish that looks really nice, but also ensures that the massager will last a long time. It doesn’t look gawky and could easily be left out without looking tacky in your living room or bedroom area. All of the parts of this massager have held up very well. I don’t use it, but I have a few friends who come over frequently and do. I’ve had this sitting out in my living room for 2 months now and it’s gotten almost daily use. It looks as good as new. Dust does get into the little creases fairly easily (which can make it a bit of a pain to clean). But aside from that one issue, it looks great and hasn’t broken or had any defaulting issues. I’m sure it will hold up for many more months to come.Unfortunately, my feet are just too ticklish for this massager. But my friends’ toes aren’t so sensitive. They LOVE this thing and swear it gets right into the muscles they need most relaxed. It’s durable, well-made, looks nice, and works great. I only docked it a star because it’s hard to clean and can definitely cause a tickle fit with some people
