This is great value for the money. The main body is nice and heavy (glass and not plastic) and so far they seem to grind the contents very well.I like that the grinding end is upwards, so that the residue when you are finished using it, does not end up all over the table. One small peeve I have is that when you are in a hurry, it takes a second or two to perform that extra step of removing the cap top before using the grinder. I guess the benefits of no mess makes up for this slight inconvenience. Overall very happy with this purchase.

These work great - until I washed, dried and reassembled the salt shaker. After that it was no longer adjustable. I was still able to use it and continued to do so for a while. Eventually, I took pliers to undo it again, and at that point the screw that holds the mechanism together broke. So, these work great, but be cautious as they may break on you.

Arrived in perfect condition. Look great on table. Love the adjustment on the grinder. Little caps fit snug due to the gasket on them. Catches some ground bits under the cap to be careful when turning them onto your meal. Very elegant and consistent grinder for table or meal preparation.Fast forward to 2019; the inside of the pepper grinder has failed. 2 of the 3 bosses that support the grinder have broken free (they are plastic) and I am left with a nice looking grinder that no longer works. How long should a product last? Should the vendor create something timeless (design and durability) or something that needs replaced "every few years"? I like the look and feel and use of the grinders. I want them to last at least 10+ years. Either charge a fortune for the product that stands the test of time or market your product as a "fad" that (manufacturer feels) will be replaced year after year.Not how I roll.

They feel good in the hand, grind easily and quickly. These even do a good job of delicate, soft pink pepper! Plus they have a glass jar with ceramic grinder, a good price and grind from the top so there's no mess. The lids stay on securely, but are also easy to pop off. They also have a wide range of grind size. I have tried several grinders for my pepper and salt collections and I think that these are going to be my favorites. I have ordered two more. The only thing that would make these better would be gravity-style battery powered.

These shakers are easy on the hands and the grinder mechanisms are so smooth to operate. They are exactly as pictured and deserve of the price paid. They are durable and balanced. I did not see any directions on how to change the grind although there are different sized dots on the bottom to do that. I tried and must not be doing it right because it just got loose. I will change my comment on this after I master it and include instructions. Overall pleased with purchase.

I was looking for a completely stainless steel product. The title and description misled me into thinking it would have stainless steel grinders. The grinding mechanism is not stainless steel. But, it does an excellent job grinding peppercorns and Himalayan pink salt.

These are somewhat clunky, but they do the job. The caps are hard to remove, so I took them off and put them away in the back of the cabinet. They would be fine for informal family dining, maybe not for more formal parties.

Decently built set that works well for pepper but not for salt. The moisture in salt ruins the gears in the grinder quickly. I would recommend purchasing a separate grinder specifically design for salt(which this one isn't and we eventually did).
