Seems dependable and does away with soap scum mess
For a long time, we used the hand pump orange and honey moisturizing hand soap in the bathroom and 7th Generation natural dish washing soap in the kitchen. No-one in our house likes cleaning up that much and the bathroom soap containers end up a sticky mess. It seemed like a good time to try automated soap dispensers.I actually got two different dispensers one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. I wasn’t sure what capacity this one was and decided that the smaller one would go in the restroom because we have a fairly small bathroom. As this one was the smallest, it ended up being placed on the bathroom sink. This is a fairly compact unit. It has a cylindrical shape with the side wrapped with brushed stainess steel. The base and head are made of plastic but have a metallic color that closely resembles brushed steel in hue. Overall the metallic gray color is a little darker than chrome and a better match for satin or brushed nickel. It is still a nice elegant design with nicely sculpted curves and a detachable base that raises the bottom of the dispenser about ¼ of an inch off of whatever surface it stands on. This is a good thing because the battery compartment lid is on the underside. So having some space underneath lets water flow out from underneath instead of staying put and air moving around lets and remaining moisture evaporate. So there is less chance of mold or mildew collecting as well as keeping moisture from seeping into the battery compartment. The compartment takes 4x AAA batteries. It will work with 1.2v rechargeable but 1.5v alkaline batteries have a little more oomph! (Batteries are not included.)The battery compartment does have a rubber seal which is another welcome precaution. In UseFilling the soap dispenser is simple. A plug with a horizontal grip is recessed into the top of the unit. A simple twist of about 45 degrees and it lifts right out. Simply pour the soap into the hole to fill. There is a single round button on top that cycles through the four different quantities the soap dispenser squirts out of the spout. I found that the smallest setting is fine for washining both hands and face so that is the setting we chose. There is a purple rectangle on the side of the cylindrical body just below the spout. A red LED blips occasionally to tell you that it is ready. To activate the dispenser, just put your hand in front of the purple rectangle and after a short whirr, a blob of soap drops on your hand.ConclusionThis is a really nice soap dispenser. It takes our 6oz soap bottles no problem. There is no way to tell how much capacity is left over because it is not see-through (which is perhaps my only complaint about it). This dispenser does a great job though. The soap does not flow back into the tank when left for a few hours. The soap pumps successfully with a single press and doesn’t congeal on the spout. Each press produces one blob of soap. Other pumps when left alone for half an hour or so often need two presses one to get the soap loaded and a second one to eject. This one seems very dependable. I do feel that the portions of soap might be a little on the large side. I’d prefer the smallest to be a little smaller, but it’s not by much and it can be depended upon to always work without and fuss or fiddling. In short, I quite like it.Disclaimer: I received this automatic soap dispenser in exchange for an honest and fair review. Not Just For the Young
The media could not be loaded. I love it! I realize there are a few things that can be improved on it but overall I love it. One thing is that I can't see how much soap is in it and won't know until I go to use it and none comes out but the ceramic soap dispenser I used for years is the same way. In the video you will see why this is so much better, easier, and cleaner than the old pump soap dispenser. One thing I want to mention is in the video I hear the soap coming out and it sounds loud and I am not sure if it is because my batteries (I put 4 rechargeable batteries in it but they may need recharging) or because the house is quiet and I use it in the bathroom usually after flushing the toilet so the toilet filling with water drowns out the sound of it but I never noticed the noise before this video.I can see using this for my shampoo and hand lotion as well. Being an older person sometimes I have a bit of a problem getting the shampoo top off when washing my hair and this will eliminate that problem and the reason for the hand lotion is for the cleanliness reasons of not having the dirty top or dried up lotions on the spout or dripped on the shelf so I am putting it on my wish list until I can purchase a couple more.*I received this product for free in exchange for my unbiased review.

Great to Reduce Waste
The media could not be loaded. Review Update:When I wrote the review, I used the dispenser a few times with much success. Later I went to add the video and it sopped. See the video as to what happened between then and now.I know hate is a strong word, but I hate waste. Kids on the other hand need to learn boundaries for themselves. This soap dispenser gives it to them. For now, I used the dispenser for shampoo as this is where most of the waste was happening. Filling the dispenser was really easy. I just opened the top, poured in the soap and was good to go.The dispenser really sees the hand and gives the perfect amount. If your child has thicker hair, they might need two squirts but overall, the amount worked for all the kids. This dispenser is really easy to use and will minimize waste. A huge plus in my book.I received this soap dispenser in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine and were in no way influenced by outside sources. From Messy To Classy to Junk
I bought three of these soap dispensers. First you may think why would I need a battery powered soap dispenser? For one they look great! No more sticky plastic, cheap looking messes on my sink. But be prepared for a Laurel and Harty routine while getting them set. They do have multiple adjustments which is nice but there's no real way to tell which settling your on so it can get comical if you're no paying attention. But the end product is very high end and classy. UPDATE: 5 MONTHS LATER one of my 3 does not work at all. I've changed the batteries and yes they're in correctly. So there you have it. Return window has expired and I have no way to reach the company. I guess I'll call amazon and see what they say.
