Nice little light

The light is really nice. I haven't used it much yet cause I bought it mainly for travelling. It gives of a real nice white-bluish light and I have no trouble reading even in complete darkness. I like that there are three setting for the light's intensity and also the touch-activated power switch is very nice. It's easily adjustable so there is no glare. It's also great that it works with a AAA battery as I always have these in the house. Why 4 instead of 5 stars? It's too long to fit into any cover. I have the Kindle touch and two covers with it. I can close both easily with the light in it but it is too long. It's whole head stands out at the bottom. It's a little unfortunate but I can live with that. To me that's not a reason not to get the light cause I can see that being a problem with all the other booklight out there, too.

New and improved light - yay!

I bought the M-edge cover and light for my kindle a few years ago and it has served me very, very well. Somehow the light broke. (I think it had a run-in with my husband's big feet - long story.) I had some small gripes about the light, primarily how it wouldn't hover over the text well enough to illuminate well - the bendable arm wouldn't cooperate.I LOVE the new light. Three different settings of light, the bendable arm is much, much more flexible yet stays put, and last but definitely not least, has auto shut off. After about an hour, the light will flash on and off. Just a light touch to the light and it will stay on, otherwise it will shut off on its own.My only complaint is the sensor to turn it off and on. When returning it to its resting place within the cover, I tend to inadvertently touch the sensor. It's a sensitive touch pad, and there's three levels of light so you have to touchtouchtouch to get it back off again. Oh well. It's still a big improvement over its predecessor.

Great little light revisited

I purchased the M-Edge e-Lunimator Touch LED Booklight Reading Light to replace my Previous M-Edge Booklight which quit working after one and a half years of reading in bed at night. I went with the M-Edge brand again to ensure it would fit in my M-Edge Kindle cover. The fact that my old one had lasted so long through use and abuse was encouraging. It fit into the sleeve a little better but the shape of the head is a little bigger so it doesn't fit as snuggly, but I hasn't been a problem thus far. I like the fact that you can adjust the level of brightness with just a tap. FYI: It takes a moment to be able to turn it back on after it automatically shuts off after an hour.No longer happy with my little light. The light kept getting dimmer so I replaced the battery. A week later I had the same problem. I replaced the battery again and was good for a couple days and then it would just shut off after 5 or 10 minures or flicker. Mind you, I have not touched the light switch after initially turning it on. After replacing the battery for the 5th time (all batteries were fresh and nowhere near the expiration date) the light doesn't even turn on. Yes the battery is in the correct position. Rather than purchasing yet another reading light I just keep my little mini mag on my nightstand and read under the covers like I did when I was 10.

Okay

I had the previous version of this light, which I actually liked better than this upgrade. The light is fine, for being so small, it covers the reading surface of my kindle better than most, and is very bright. It's also very compact and fits very nicely in my well-loved M-edge kindle case. What I don't like, is that the on/off switch is now touch sensitive instead of an actual moving part switch. This has resulted in my finding the light on unexpectedly a few times. I know everybody wants their products to be all cool and cutting-edge seeming, but my philosophy is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

slim light

This is a nice little slim book light that I used with my Kobo mini. It tucked nicely into my case and the light folded around the device case for traveling. You can accidentally bump the light on, but it didn't happen in my bag, only with finger touch. I used it for a 2 week trip where it was my only source of reading and I usually read for at least and hour at night in the dark, sometimes more and it is still on its original battery. Also used for several hours on the airplane. Batteries last long.

M-edge eLuminator

I like the light, but not as we'll as the previous model. This model burns through batteries like I can't believe. You can light up the screen, but the battery life is very short and I don't like that. Having said that, I do like that I can read in bed easily with this light. I just keep about 4 new batteries in the cover so I can switch them out as necessary. There really is no warning....it goes from fine to more and more dim and then out....and it happens fast.

All right

I like the light; however, wish it folded in a different way when the Kindle and case are put away, instead I usually take it completely out to protect it from damage. Also, I like that it comes on so easily with just a touch, but this also presents a problem if I shove it in my purse with the light attached as it comes on and I don't usually realize it until later which means the battery is being wasted on the inside of my purse instead of on reading.

Good Book Light

This book light works really good for me. I keep several rechargeable batteries close by the bed so when one battery goes out I can quickly replace it but it seems to last a long time between changes. There are three different levels of light - I usually use the dimmest which is bright enough for me to read without my glasses. The touch pad is very sensitive so only takes a light touch. The first touch turns on the dimmest light, the second touch goes higher, the third the highest light and the fourth turns it off. I do occasionally have to readjust it to be able to see the whole page but I don't find that a big deal. I've had it almost two years and would buy it again.
