These things are hard to find, and these are made from actual cotton, and are not just nylon bristles attached to wire. I use these for cleaning crevices on machinery and firearms. They're just right - stiff enough to be pushed through and hold their shape, but don't scratch fine metal surfaces, and you can either use them to scrub out the gunk, or oil them lightly and use them to deposit a fine layer of oil. I buy several packs at a time due to the shipping time and costs, but if you need actual pipe cleaners for fine work, these'll do you.

I wanted pipe-cleaners to help cleaning small nooks and crannies and orifices on some inkjet printers that I have been cannibalising to keep my old HP Officejet running.They are not as thick as I recall pipe-cleaners being when I was a kid and I used to use my Grandad's pipe-cleaners for Blue-Peter type projects. (I am 60) but they are perfectly OK for what I need.They are cotton, so they have fibres and just like a cotton-bud or cotton-wool they could/will leave fibres. So they are only suitable to use where you can tolerate the occasional fibre or you can blow them away after wards (perhaps with an air duster). I certainly found they do not shed copiously like some brands that I have used at work overseas.(where I need absolutely no fibres I use these :  Insat International Cleaning Swabs. Anti-Static Foam Swabs for cleaning BGA/PCB: 50 Swabs Sold by Insat International  but they wont get into as small a space as the pipe-cleaners.Until recently these were the best I had found - but I have recently tried:  100 Angelo Pipe Cleaner Strips Pack of 100 White, Brand Quality The Angelo ones seem slightly better quality but cost around 60% more. Neither brand is excessively expensive. Depending on your needs I would recommend to buy a pack of each, and then going forward, reorder the ones you prefer, Insat International Cleaning Swabs. I ordered these for cleaning the drain hole at the back of the fridge. Very useful and you need all white for that job. They are thicker than some of the competition. Reasonably priced, arrived on time and will last for ages. I also use for occasional craft projects.

Pipe cleaners are a little hard to find now that pipe smoking is no longer popular. I use them for cleaning hard to reach electrical components. The quality is good (3 packs), the cleaners having plenty soft material on them. Delivery time was also excellent, So pipe smokers and anyone needing a useful implement for cleaning difficult to reach places, they are easily available via Amazon.

Great pipe cleaners at a cheep price yes bit of fluff come off but you are cleaning off sticky resin what do you expect they are great value for money and fast delivery if you buy off of agoodbuyfromme
