Titanic Adventure out of Time (Jewel Case)

I just love this game. I'm not a "gamer" per se, but I do enjoy a game that makes you think. This game actually makes you take notes! The premise is to get an ancient book (The Rubiyat) off the Titanic before it sinks.You run into all sorts of characters on the ship, and most of them are quite entertaining. Seriously, keep a notebook handy to jot down peoples names, where you meet them and trust me - they will tell you things that you think are irrelevant...but find out later that it is very valuable information!You can literally spend HOURS on this game, but its so worth it! Your trusty steward is there to help you if you get stuck (and you will)...great adventure!I played this game when it first came out, then enough time passed that I FORGOT much of what happened, so playing it again was a real treat. You won't be disappointed!

This product did not work on any of our computers, I tried different operating sytems but it would not work on any of them.

It arrived somewhat late, but I got it! It works pretty well on my Windows 10 laptop - I was able to get it to play!!👍 Remember playing this game on the computer when I was a kid. Such a great memorable game.

I played this game when I was younger (think the Leonardo DiCaprio craze) thinking it'd be based on the movie. It wasn't... but it was better. The game was a perfect mix of plot and history and the graphics were great for the time.My only concern is that there is no updated version of the game so I had to switch my computer settings to run 32-bit color (I think?) to make it display correctly. Ugh. It would also crash a lot. Well worth the frustration- though I have never stopped the darn ship from sinking. Oh well. =)A couple different alternate endings which made for lots of fun at the end.

I wish there were more games like this. It is loads of fun and well worth the price tag these days.

I don't know if it will be helpful for others but I had to search the Internet for a different installer. Upon putting it in, I was told it wasn't compatible but I'm sure that's because it was designed for older computers. It only took a few minutes googling to find a fix.

This out-of-print adventure game is one of my top three, along with Tyrian (a top-down space shooter with the best soundtrack EVER) and TIE Fighter. You play a British spy placed on the Titanic to get back a diplomat's stolen copy of the Rubaiyat, but the plot soon thickens, enfolding your unhappily married best friend, a sinister stowaway, and a German graduate student. In addition to figuring out puzzles, you get to fence, fight, and talk (in a conversational system comparable to Baldur's Gate) your way through the ship as you avoid the guns and suspicions of your enemies as best you can. If you complete everything successfully and get off the ship, you prevent both World Wars and the Russian Revolution... if not, the results are worse than pre-existing history. Apart from seriously strange looking actors and (perhaps) a lack of replay value, this is a great game.
