I specifically chose this seller because it stated in the description several times that the front a back are "engraved." It is NOT engraved, but rather printed. The tag itself feels sturdy and is a good size, but I have no doubt this will last, at most, a couple months and be unreadable. As I pulled it out of the envelope, my nail came into contact with the tag and immediately scratched off part of my pet's name. Classic "you get what you pay for" type of purchase. Lesson learned and I'm back to square one.

As mentioned by many reviewers, the attachment ring that comes with the tag is way too weak. Ours lasted three days. I had other rings in my junk box, so fixing it wasn't a big deal for me, but I shouldn't have had to do it. The real problem is that it stains my dogs coat an unattractive gray. This stain does not wash out with standard pet shampoo. I'm not a metallurgist, but I've never seen stainless steel that goes from bright to pewter gray in a few weeks. The whole tag is dull now. Certainly not 18/8 or something else decent. I'm replacing this tag with something else.

I received the tag in December 2015. The tag arrived quickly, with the correct information. Now, less than 6 months later, the information on the tag is all but invisible. Apparently the engraving is very shallow or non-existant? The easily readable (and erodible) black paint has worn off.

I ordered a heart for my cat. They say they are appropriate for dogs and cats. They sell 2 sizes and since they also make them for dogs (retrievers and labs), i thought the smaller size would be appropriate for my medium/small sized cat. I relied in large part on the 4.8 score on over 10,000 reviews in deciding to buy. I find that hard to believe after seeing what the tag they made. The text is so small, you can't even read it. If nothing else, the seller should have layout guidelines and suggest character limits based on what fits on various sized/shaped tags.

Received my two tags yesterday and was disappointed to see that they are NOT engraved but had my pet's name and my information stamped on the tag in bronze lettering. The lettering was already wearing off on the packing slip the tags were sent in so I don't expect the lettering will last very long. A waste of money!

I purchased these tags just 4 months ago, 3 for my dog (as I swap collars & did not want to swap tags), & one for my cat. The tags looked great when they came in. Just four months later my indoor cat’s tag still looks like new, but my active dog’s tag is barely legible & if I rub over the “engraving” it rubs off under my fingers!! I really wanted to love these... finding engraved stainless steel tags has gotten nearly impossible & the colored ones are completely useless. My dog is pretty active, but I mean, that what dogs do?! He’s a one year old WPG who runs in the woods daily, swims couple times a week. I gotta find better tags because 4 months of use is just silly. (My finger is covering our phone #s & the worst of the now barely legible text but I think the idea shows with what is visible)

When I first noticed them I saw that they did not appear engraved, more like printed on the tag. Yet, they were pretty, so I kept them. The ring that came with them is so thin, and questionable. I decided to put them on despite it being so thin, and found the next day that both dogs tags were on the floor. Both my dogs play around all day long, and apparently were able to take off the thin attachment for the id tag. They were covered with scratches, and now the writing is so faint you can't distinguish it from the tag itself. Now, I have to resort to my old tag, since you can no longer read half of the back side of the id tag which has her microchip information is on, so now I'm looking to replace this tag that I had recently purchased. I am disappointed, as I would have thought it would be able to last longer than a day of use before it became illegible.

I thought i bought the small round tag but got the bone... It might have been my mistake, theirs, or even amazons. Either way I think the bone on my kitten is hilarious! XD i luv it :3I ordered it on Nov 21 and got it today Nov 30. 9 days. I was so excited that i ripped it open. :pIt arrived in a 3" by 6" paper envelope. the tag actually left an outline. Inside was a piece of paper from the company talking about the 60 day warranty, general information, and to say thank you. On the other side was the tag and the circle thing, it was taped down with some blue tape.Im not sure what bone size this one is. But the tag is about the length of a quarter and a penny, feels about the same weight as quarter. It is thinner than a penny. but will definitely take some serious muscle to bend it.The tag picks up fingerprints really well and when i rubbed it on my shirt some tiny scratches popped up.The engraving looks pretty good. Looks more like a bunch of very fine horizontal shallow etchings.I had my cat's name on the front and my information of the back. 3 lines. 15 letters. 14. 16 RRRRDDDD TTTWWW (888) 777 5555 QQQQBBBBZZ@gmailIt came out really good. Easy to read, nothing cut off. Three lines looks to be a good fit for the tag size. four lines would have had teeny little letters.My cat is about 2 and half months old. 14-18 weeks old ish... -_-So far she is running about the house like a missile and i think the tag is smacking her face. Ill be getting a much smaller circle thing tomorrow.Other than that i really like the tag. ill probably order the small round much later.

Lovely looking but not engraved, rather printed. Its been on for two months now and hasn't worn away yet, but it's still not as described. Also it took a long time to deliver as I hadn't realised it wasn't in the UK. It's doing the job for now though and it isn't exactly pricey, so still gets ok stars from me.

I ordered two of these to tie to the front of memory boxes for my daughters. Well made, exactly what I was looking for. Well worth the cost. They took about five weeks to arrive as they were shipped from America, but I wasn’t in a hurry for them.

Takes ages to arrive but it's lovely, very clear information on it, well made.

The item seemed great to start with and we were really happy, but we went for one of our walks (only weeks since we received it) returned home and discovered some of the engraving has faded! Not a happy bunny.
