Planetary Herbals Lomatium Full Spectrum Liquid, Respiratory and Immune Support, 4 Ounces

Taste terrible, but works great. I use it regularly.

Let's start with a taste - it does taste like turpentine or at least I think it does since I never tasted turpentine. For better taste I mix it with other better tasting herb tinctures in my own formula or take shot glass with water or tea, and put 10 drops in. Then drink fast. Very effective. My son was sick and I felt, that I was catching the cold, drank this - boom, no more symptoms. But I didn't take more and symptoms came back the next day, drank more -gone again. So I think it would be wise to take it 3 times a day for a few days after your symptoms started. This herb supposed to be used short term though since some people develop rash with continuous use. Neither me nor my son had any rash, but we took it just for a week or so, and mostly mixed in with other herbs. I just want to mention, that I also took 4-8 grams of vitamin c powder, had some green juice and home grown sprouts on those days, but I also ate some not so great stuff. However I feel, that Lomatium was a very strong player in speedy healing.

This was one of my GoTo-Bedtime Supplements during the first month of the global pandemic, in my experience the effects were almost immediate and prevented congestion and inflammation while i slept and night, within 3 weeks i was able to sleep without it, but purchased an extra bottle just in case. Flavor is as it should be, slightly pungent and fishy, i just squirted it in 3-5oz apple juice. Also, i feel these days, it's important for us to all support one another within reason. This is a good product that worked well, but I liked the non-alcohol formulation better, both taste and effect.

Every time I feel like I'm coming down with a cold, I take some of this wonderful herb, and in no time at all I'm feeling much better. The taste is awful, but drinking something like coffee right afterwards takes the bad taste away. This is definitely something I never want to be without. Do a google research on this herb. It saved the American Indians from dying from influenza when the white people all around them were dying.

The flavor is decent, kind of pine tree like. (I like all my tinctures to taste like what they actually are, even if unpleasant.) I very much like the Planetary Herbals line of products. They have always been of good quality in my experience.

Gave it five stars for flavor, because it is packed with deadly flavor. To quote from the song, Love Potion #9 ....”I held my nose, I closed my eyes, I took a drink..”Seriously, I have found mixing a dropper full in a cup of cranberry juice makes it palatable.

I’ve taken a lot of this particular herb over many years and find it to be extremely effective in prevention of cold/flu if taken early enough. I’ve tried lots of brands and used many beverages to chase its horrible taste. However, this brand takes the cake for being so awful, I can’t find any fruit juice or other beverage to make this worth it. It is so awful that I feel almost sick to my stomach for hours after taking it. The alcohol and/or other preservatives make this unacceptable. Just be warned before you buy it. I’m going back to non-alcohol products on Amazon and will write this off as a loss since you can’t return it.
