LEDdrop Barbecue Light with 360° Swivel Action - Grill Handle Mount

The clamp on this broke the very first time I used it. I clamped it on, turned on the grill, got half way through cooking my food and the clamp broke right off. It was made of plastic so I was not expecting it to last forever but I think I should be able to make it through making more than one meal.

The light works well and I have no complaints about it whatsoever. I did, however, want to mention that after there was an issue over the service price, I contacted the seller and they never gave me any response. I took up the matter directly with Amazon and got excellent resolution immediately, so I was very impressed with their service. I was NOT, however, happy that the seller never made any attempt to respond to me.

Plastic got soft and started melting during first use. Was able to salvage it somewhat and are able to use the light in the garage, but no way would I advise anyone to use this on a barbecue!

My fiancé was quite excited when we received this today. We attached it to our grill handle as directed. Half an hour later we heard a crash and noticed the light had broken off and is now missing a part of the handle "grip". Nobody was near the grill. Grill hadn't been used.Quite annoyed that it didn't even last a day and we haven't even gotten to use it once.

Shipment arrived a day earlier than the order stated. Packaged well and protected. I tried for 1/2 hour to install three AAA Energizer batteries and could not get them to fit in the battery tray. Two + batteries are mounted on top on each other and the lower one would not snap in place leaving the top one higher so that the battery cover could not be closed!. It was obvious the tray was too small for these batteries. I tried three Kirkland Costco batteries which would not fit also, they only compounded the problem. The light case is not water proof and the plastic cover appears to be light weight. I've returned this product and will search for a better one that is also water proof although prior lights I've owned were covered with Zip lock bags as a precaution. Not a good product!

Easy to install. Lights up the whole grill surface.

The first thing you notice when opening this grill light is that it is packaged in a normal cardboard box. No frills or fancy stuff, just a get the job done box. The light itself is in a sleeve that is made out of bubble wrap for some extra protection so that is nice. In the box other than the light is a small Phillips head screw driver and a 1 page instruction sheet. The 3 AA batteries that are required are NOT included.The light itself is made of a black plastic that seems fairly durable. I have not drop tested it or anything but applying some pressure to the joints and the casing did not cause any failures or cracks. The clamp portion of it that attaches to your grill is also made of plastic but they have taken some attention to detail here and pressed in (or ultra-sonically welded in for you geeks) a metal sleeve that is threaded. This will allow for better of durability when tightening up the light to your grill handle. It also has rubber pads inside the same clamp to reduce slippage on the grill handle.All of the pivot points, or joints seem to be reliant on the friction of the plastic to keep them from swiveling freely. This seems to work just fine for now, but one fear I have is that over time that these joints will become loose with wear and not allow the light to stay in the position I set it.The battery installation is fairly straight forward. The cover is removed by taking out a single Phillips head screw with the included screw driver. The batteries do fit very snug. Make sure that when you are installing them they are in the correct direction and you place the black ribbon that is included with it behind the batteries so that you will be able to remove them once they need replaced.The light has 4 settings, Off, Low, Med, and High. These are controlled by a touch sensitive spot on the outer casing that is clearly marked. There is no physical button which can be nice if needing to wipe grease from BBQing off of it. The medium setting is all you need to easily see what you are doing while grilling. The High puts out a lot of light and might be needed if you have a very large grill where the light is further from the grilling surface. I have attached some pictures for you to get a feel of my setup. There is a picture for every setting on the light to show you the differences.Overall this is a good light that does what it claims. The install is easy and straight forward; it is easily positioned and moved while in use and outputs a very usable amount of light. I am happy with my purchase!
