Top value. Easy to install, discreet, and just works
The media could not be loaded. First, this was installed in a 36 year old car, and it doesn't look out of place. I think it's quite a good choice for those of you into modern classics / youngtimers. See video. (If they did it in brown & silver I'd be made up... ). It is quite a simple, discreet matt black system with simple display that doesn't take over. It's not shiny and doesn't have crazy illumination like many mainstream brands, which stick out like a sore thumb in older cars.Second, it was very easy to install. With ISO connections it was a plug-and-play for me. It's a shallow unit so sliding into the cage is is easy and you don't feel you're fighting the wiring harness. It doesn't confuse my electric aerial like the old (JVC) CD player did. The Bluetooth was extremely easy to set up; my wife randomly called me just after I had installed it and it worked first time. And it seems to recognize any random USB stick I shove in it.Third, it just works and sounds fine. I'll give it four stars overall for sound because I don't want to kid you; do not expect a high-end sound. But for the money (£28) it gets ten out of five. Not that that's possible, but hopefully you get the gist.Fourth, other aesthetics are good. The clock is bright but I quite like that myself. It may bother some. The plastics aren't too bad, the buttons are very clear and well spaced, and the volume/selection knob has a lovely feel to it with little clicks. It feels much nicer than it has any right to.Wonderful job ieGeek, wonderful job.

Great stereo! I really recommend!
So, I’ve installed this stereo today.Wow.I had been looking for a stereo for ages, and I was stuck between like 10 options on the lower end of the pricing spectrum (head units can be expensiveeeee!), and this was on this shortlist. As a 17 year old, and a bit strap for cash, I needed something cheap and decent (pretty hard to find nowadays).I kept narrowing it down over and over, and this one stuck through, and won.I wanted a head unit with Bluetooth, and one that was relatively minimalistic to suit the interior of my car.I have a 2006 Ford Fiesta Style, with a double din slot. I got the fascia, and the wiring harness, and fitted this head unit (and a subwoofer and some other bits and bobs).I’m really impressed. I’m not even kidding, this blew me and my dad away. I’m not going to talk about sound quality as I’ve only got the stock speakers and haven’t installed my new ones yet, but the EQ presets are useful, and if you’d rather not use a preset you can adjust the Fade, Balance, Bass, and Treble. I went for “rock” (despite it not being my genre of choice) as it has a good balance between the Bass and Treble, then faded it ever so slightly towards the drivers side speakers. The ease of use is really handy, and it instantly connects (via Bluetooth!!) to my phone the moment I switch on the ignition, which I’m really happy with. The selection of colours is great, I chose yellow as it suits the rest of the interior lights perfectly, and the buttons are really nice and tactile and clicky. Everything’s easy to use, and within less than 5 minutes of playing around with it I now have it set perfectly for myself. It took me probably 3 minutes to figure out how to set the clock, which I find useful as it tells me exactly how late I am.I love this thing, I really recommend it.Instructions for ease of use:CHANGING THE COLOUR:1) Switch on the ignition, press the “on” button on the head unit.2) Press the Volume knob repeatedly until either “Auto” or the name of a colour appears on screen.3) Once “Auto”, or the name of a colour, appears on the screen, rotate the knob until your preferred colour is displayed.4) Once you have chosen the colour you want, press the volume knob again to select it.CHANGING THE TIME:1) Switch on the ignition, press the “on” button on the head unit.2) Press the volume knob repeatedly until “Timeset” is displayed on the screen.3) Press and hold the volume knob for a few seconds until the hours on the clock begin to flash.4) Rotate the volume knob until the correct hour is displayed.5) Press the volume knob again to select the minutes, and rotate the knob until the minutes is set correctly.6) Press the volume knob again to save the time.CHANGING THE INPUT:1) Switch on the ignition, press the “on” button on the head unit.2) Press the “Hang Up” button (above the “on” button) on the head unit until either “BT”, “AUX”, “FM”, or “AM” is displayed.I have been entirely honest in my review, and I hope the instructions I have left were also helpful. I really like this, and I can’t wait to use it properly whilst driving.Edit: I absolutely love this stereo. I’m using it every day, and the instant connectivity is awesome. I’m really happy with it, and have now added a picture to show how good it looks. I really do love this thing, and I’m so happy I got it at such a good price and at a good time.

Great for the price, check fitment first
Features wise this does everything it advertises and seems to it well. The build is very noticeably cheap, but I've installed this in a very noticeably cheap car so I shall not hold that against it considering its price. The only caveat is installing this on cars that don't use a cage. On my Hyundai Amica, the stereo bolts into the fascia by means of a couple of right angle brackets that screw into the original stereo, as opposed to the traditional mounting cage that this uses. This one doesn't have any screw holes in the body, so there is no way to attach those brackets to this unit.Since it's so cheap, I took a drill to it and just tapped a couple of holes where I needed them so I could mount the brackets from the old stereo, but if you are not comfortable with that, double check how your current stereo is mounted.Other than that, setup was a breeze. It plugged directly into the existing ISO harness without any wiring mods needed. It paired with my iPhone as CarKit and reconnects seamlessly when your turn the car off and then get back in again later. The jog dial can be used to skip tracks on Spotify and the controls in general are such that you can easily operate them without having to take your eyes off the road. It's got a handful of preset EQ settings that make a noticeable difference, as well as a Flat and Loud setting. The included remote control works well and is pretty useful as it contains shortcut keys to functions that are hidden in the menu settings on the unit itself.
