Coolibar UPF 50+ Men's Women's Virasana Performance Sun Bandana - Sun Protective

It is a relief to have this on sunny days. I couldn't seem to keep my chest from burning even with SPF 70 sunscreen on. I hesitated at first because i thought it would be annoying and hot but it's not that bad. I can wear it fairly comfortably even on 95 degree days and it works perfectly to keep the sun off my chest. Like other reviewers have mentioned the knot at the back is the main issue I have and the reason for the 4 rather than 5 stars. I wish they would use a series of snaps instead so you could adjust it to different lengths and not have to deal with a chunky knot at the back of your neck. A design flaw for sure. But still better than burning. Wish it came in more colors!

This is perfect for when I'm in a hurry and rushing to get out the door. I get as much sunscreen on my face and upper neck as I can and then throw this on to cover the rest of my neck and any of the exposed décolletage area. That way I can either leave the bandana on, or take it off when I have time to finish applying the rest of my sunscreen. It's also perfect if you are worried about getting sunscreen on the neckline of a delicate blouse, dress, or other easily stained fabric. It's also handy to keep something like this in your car for those times when you're driving directly into the sun or trapped in traffic and the rays are intensified on your face, ears, arms, etc.

Just wore this to the beach over a holiday weekend. Normally, even with sunscreen reapplication, my neck/chest still burn easily. With this scarf on, my shoulders got a little burnt (even with several sunscreen re-ups) but my neck and chest are just as bright of white/pale as when I set foot on the beach so I'd say it works! I even flipped it around to cover my back when sun changed directions, and it helped out there too. I plan to keep it in my purse for throwing on when the sun surprises out on regular walks.

*** This was not an authentic article, and I sent it back. *** It did not arrive in Coolibar packaging. There were no Coolibar instructions for care. and no UPF number label at all. It was just a piece of black polyester.

This covers a very small portion of skin. Get the gaiter instead. This will not cover the back of your neck and keeps slipping down so it doesn’t even cover the front of your neck. It only covers a small portion of your chest

This is good for walks in terms of protecting your neck from the sun, but not good AT all if wearing it as a face mask..slips off too easy, if tightened, you cannot breathe.

So glad I bought this. Now I don’t have to wear sunscreen on my neck and chest and worry that the sunscreen will eat the finish off of my costume jewelry.

Big and wicking at $10 less than the Columbia equivalent. I wear mine as a pirate dew-rag all the time while working out and outdoor activity and does add a cooling factoring and my eyes clear. Going to buy more.
