My eight year old daughter got this for Christmas. This is the first knitting loom project we have done. I got this not knowing anything about looms or anything but liked this came with both a circle and a rectangle loom. My daughter went and picked out yarn. We still haven’t used the yarn it came with in the package. She made a scarf using chunky baby blanket yarn and loved it. She also made her baby brother a small blanket. We haven’t tried the hat yet.We have since got the 4 piece loom set from Darice. The circle loom in this is about the same size as the second biggest in the 4 piece set. It was to big to make a hat for her. The loom is good and sturdy. She loved the rectangle one. Thought the circle was harder. She is now making scarfs for the whole family. It is a good set. Very sturdy. Doesn’t break easily. I even stepped on it and it was okay. The pick tool is nice and has a little hook on it. That comes in handy. However you have to use really chunky yarn with it. And it is somewhat hard to get a tight knit. It was worth the money and a good starter set. She is excited to try mittens and stuff next.

The yarn isn't the best quality and the instructions leave something to be desired, mainly proper instructions on how to handle the loom and the proper way to wrap the yarn, and what size the looms and what kind of yarn you should use. Apparently, from what I've learned, looms come in all shapes and sizes and this is meant for bulky [5] and super bulky [6] yarn only. I learned this from youtube and some library research in book about loom knitting. It does make great netting if you use worsted [5] weight or DK [4] yarn. Other than these things, this is a quality loom. Buy a book or rent one about loom knitting before you get into this so that you know what you're getting into if you buy it. My daughter and I loves the loom but the instructions were too complicated for her, and for me as well, sadly.

Would have given this a higher rating, however, the directions are worthless. There was no way for me to help my daughter figure out what she needed to do with the extremely complicated directions. Thankfully, youtube is rich filled with videos that explain how to use knitting looms. My daughter is 8 years old, but she did need quite a bit of assistance getting started. After while though, she got the hang of it. Using the. She was able to use the long loom better than the round loom. (The long loom can be used the create scarves and the round loom can be used to create hats). However, there wasn't enough yarn for her to complete one scarf without combining yarns. If I could do this all over again, I would just purchase the long loom on its own along with thick yarn and a knitting needle. This kit is really not necessary.

Very disappointed in the yarn that came with this. very low quality and there were three colors one belong a flat scratchy black.As for as the actual looms I could see no problems. I actually purchased some nice color and texture acrylic yarn that was very inexpensive for the little girl and she was excited to get it.If the company could consider maybe a self striping yarn or just better quality and it would be a five star.

The instructions are clear but the yarn is crappy. Falls apart and separates easily. Ended up buying different yarn elsewhere.

we bought 2 for grandchildren who like to do all sorts of crafts so we shell see if its easy enough for them. looks great.

Daughter received this for her ninth birthday and has enjoyed it. The yarn is cute and colorful. She has made two hats and is working on a third. Easy to use, but it is time consuming to knit a hat, especially for someone new to this. Don't expect a hat in a day.

I was so excited for my neice to receive this, as she is dying to learn how to crochet. She was over the moon until she opened the box to try it only to realize two pegs were completely missing. They tried to see if they could still do it and just skip those pegs but it didn't work. This was a birthday present, so it makes it worse that she can't even enjoy her gift. It would be wonderful if the sellers would ship a new one to replace this one!

A++++++++++ Bought this for my 11 year old daughter and she LOVES it!!! She had to open it up right away and nearly has her first hat done. Definitely recommend this!

perfecto para hacer los gorros¡ se hacen rapidamente y quedan fenomenal, la lana un poco escasa, es una pena porque si haces un gorro no te llega para hacer la bufanda a juego.aun asi buena calidad. esta marca es muy aceptable.

lo trovo molto carino anche come idea, ma è piuttosto difficile a capire come funziona. Mia figlia era molto entusiasta quando l'ha ricevuto, ma ha lasciato perdere visto le difficoltà.
