Bought for, and reviewed by my husband:The two dumbbell set contains two bars with screw threads for spinlock nuts,along with 16 plates in a range of weights.The plates are 4 x 2.5Kg, 4 x 2.0Kg, 4 x 1.5Kg and 4 x 1.25Kg, so with bothbars equally loaded that is two dumbbells of 15Kg each (the bar weighs around 0.5Kg).Having used metal plates on dumbbells in the past there are a few key differenceswith these plastic plates. The first is that the plates are bigger than metal platesas iron-based plates will be denser so don't need to be physically as large as theplastic plates. When fully assembled with all of the plates this dumbbell set isquite large, which isn't necessarily bad, just something to be aware of.Plastic sets aren't as noisy to work with as metal plates however, and you're lesslikely to damage the furniture than metal plates when walking around the house!The spinlock nuts and screwthread are basic in construction but do the job forthe weight plates supplied. Personally I always check the nuts are tight on dumbbellsbetween sets as even with my old metal plate sets they can loosen during reps, andwill also loosen if you roll the dumbbell on the floor between sets.As the heavier plates such as the 2.5Kg and 2.0Kg are wider than the smaller ones,you can't fit all 8 of the heavier plates onto one bar which would be 18.5Kg. Thelargest weight I safely lifted on one dumbbell for this set was 17.5Kg. That saidthough, these dumbbells satisfy most requirements of a dumbbell workout for anintermediate lifter.Overall these weights do what you need from a set of dumbbells and are very convenientfor use at home.

There is a strange chemical sell and after touching, the smell can be everywhere in my hands. This situation is really bad, but it is within my expectation. The horrible thing is that one handle cannot fit any collar. And two collar cannot fit any handle, as shown in the picture.Hope you can send me an extra handle and collar.I can tolerate the smell.

These are great start up weight package. You get all the weights in 1.25kg dumbbells so you can alter the weights to tweak your workout. They are easy to add and remove and the weights are strong and secure. The weights stay in place by a ring that screws on each end. The weights also have a soft out side layer so you don’t damage them or the floor if you drop them. You get two bars in the pack and a pack of weights. Very good value for money.

Excellent quality weights and are very durable as well. They are perfect for using at home for weight training and I would recommend them to anyone

These are decent enough if your on a budget and want some heavier weights and don't want cast iron, they're very big though and a little unwieldy for some exercises where cast iron weights are better to use. The spin locks feel a little cheap but they do keep the plates secure enough.

Great bought as Christmas present

I ordered as new but when it arrived it was dirty and very sticky. Didn't return it because of the hassle so I cleaned it. The locks get loose and you have to keep on tightening.
