You get what you pay for.
Main takeaway- you eat what you pay for.It was shorter than the pictures make it look. My fault for not measuring. Would have like it to be about 2 tiers more taller.Metal and wood came completely scratched. I was looking for something cheap and temporary that will go outside, so not really a big deal to me, but if you’re looking for a quality look this is not it.The directions were awful. Not in English and pictures not terribly helpful. However not so difficult you can’t figure it out with a little extra thought about which screws go where. Mostly the screw attaching the metal together and she base screws. It will be functional for what I got it for an am incredibly happy with it for that, just be mindful when you purchase!

Ehhhh,
I like how modern this plant stand was. The directions are not very clean but I did figure it out. As you can see by other reviews the shelves are just fiberboard and can come scratched, even the black metal has a small scratch as well but overall okay, and I’ll keep it. The only reason I did not get a different one that was similar and had more and better reviews is it was bamboo and I would have to paint it to match my interior.

Not worth the money
Where to begin?Pros: I needed a simple, contemporary plant stand for some sad plants in my house that didn't have a proper place for light. This was going to be my solution and it serves that just fine.Cons: it's quite ugly up close... and actually from afar too. First off, they send you chinese directions with closely cropped in photos. I'm all about cross cultures but I was buying a small plant stand on amazon and I don't read mandarin.. so good thing I'm a visual learner. Also, I've got a degree in furniture design so I can guess the concepts on putting this together relatively well. But if you rely on reading or better visuals as well as marking the pieces so you know what is what... this is a little confusing. Next, the fake wood lamination is done pretty terribly. The edges are not beveled and already peeling. Plus, no finishing done properly so they are SUPER sharp! I think the heavy duty screws offer the most quality in the whole piece. Finally, as you screw into the metal frame, don't do it with too much force as the metal is super thin and will easily dent inward if you keep screwing. The pieces all came with some minor scuff and scratch marks as well.Overall: by the time I unpacked it and put it together just to mostly be covered by plants I decided it was not worth trying to return but if I knew what I know now, I would not have purchased. It's a $42 small plant stand and I would have expected the quality to show up the way it's advertised.

Piece of junk.
Don't know how anyone rated this above a 2. I could not get the base to attach to the metal post because the screws did not line up with the holes. Seriously? How hard is that to get two holes to match up. The instructions are also pretty bad but I was able to figure it out on my own but there wasn't anything I could do when I couldn't get the screws attached.
