QUALITY PRODUCT that our dog loves!
Our little dog has a history of Pancreatitis and allergies, so it has been a challenge to find a food over the years to keep her healthy and happy, too. We spent many years following the Vet's recommendation for Hill's ID food in a can, since most the convenient kibble out there has more harmful things in them, than good. She never was great on Hill's but it kept her from having any more attacks and we could keep her weight in check, too. I just never liked all the unhealthy ingredients in it and it's crazy expensive. Then Hill's changed their formulas and made them so nasty, neither man nor beast would go near it! Turned out to be lucky for us, because then I found this wonderful LEAN dog food, with top notch ingredients, including all the things to help a dog that needs a low fat, high protein, NO garbage product! Our dog loves the flavor of this small kibble and she has been happy and healthy since the switch. Her tummy is way better with no gas problems and 'perfect' poop. The convenience of her getting this great food over cans of smelly canned food is nice for us, too. A win, win. Thanks for a quality pet food that hits all the right buttons!

Great food for Pancreatitis
My dog had a bout of pancreatitis. Once he recovered, the vet wanted him to continue with Royal Canin dog food. The can food had great ingredients but it is very expensive. The dry food is nothing but crappy ingredients. After much research and phone calls to dog food companies to get the actual % of fat and fiber per serving,(they are very different than what is on the package), I found that this company and formula were highy rated for his health condition and the ingredients are amazing.Update. I had to take my dog off this dog food. I believe the second ingredient is pea protein. Peas are fine for dogs. But pea powder has been found to affect some dogs hearts and can irritate the GI tract causing blood in the stool and diarrhea. That's what happened to mine. He is now on prescription hill ID low fat I was concerned about the byproducts so I called the company. I was told that byproducts consisted of chicken heart, liver, and gizzards. The vet feeds her own dog with it. He is doing better and loves the food.

Good for overweight dogs
We adopted a mini-dachshund in February and she came to us somewhat obese. She weighed in at 23 pounds. The poor girl was so chubby, she had difficulty walking. We started her on Anamaet and by July she lost 4 pounds. Not only can she now walk and climb stairs unaided but she loves to run a bit She could stand to lose about 2 more pounds and she will be slim and trim.We feed her 1/4 cup three times a day plus an occasional doggie treat. This is a great product for overweight dogs.

If your dog misses the fat, stir in some plain yogurt
My small elderly dog has some missing teeth so dry food is harder for him to eat. However, if the kibble is small enough, he can manage it. This food has fairly small kibble, but bigger than what he is used to. He is also used to eating food with fat in it, but was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis, so we had to switch him to a low fat diet. I looked around online and found this product which is very low fat, so decided to give it a try. He wouldn’t eat it. Tried adding water to soften it but that didn’t work. So I had a full bag of dogfood he was refusing to eat. Put some non-fat plain Greek yogurt on it and stirred it around and wow! We are in business! He loves it and is gobbling it up. I think he likes the yogurt texture and it softens the kibble so it is easier to eat. He’s a happy dog again, and eating a low fat diet that is good for him.

Probably the best food on the market
My 10+ Lhasa has pancreatitis, which I understand doesn't go away, but one "manages" it. He has to eat a minimum amount of fat.I looked at all the brands I could find and they all have a high % of fat.Since he was so sick, he wouldn't touch his regular food. I found a cheap brand that has minimal fat but it is also lacking in a lot of the nutrition dogs need. I had to mix canned food with gravy in it to get him to eat at all at this point. So, I found Annamaet Grain-Free Lean and gave it a try. When I offered LEAN to him dry and he gobbled it down. He is a spoiled sickly thing and he will eat the LEAN dry but to get the calories he needs without the fat, I am supplementing the canned food with it.Granted, the cost for Annamaet Grain-Free Lean is higher than I want to spend. But having spent as much as I have spent on vet bills and medicine in 6 months, this food is a saver for me in the long run.

Not going back
My dog had a bad gastroenteritis and she wouldn’t eat any prescription food. I took the time to make so research and run into this food. Reviews of ppl saying their dogs had similar issues like mine were great so I decided to give it a try. My dog loved it and in a matter of a day she was doing so much better!! Have been ordering this for both of my dogs for 2 years and no complaints. They love it and it’s a healthier affordable choice.

Great product, agrees with my Yorkie mix.
My pup genuinely enjoys this food. He has pancreatitis so I swing between wanting to offer something a little more and making sure not to upset his system. I feed him a mixture of this and the prescription food we buy at the Vets office. Though he eats their food. It doesn’t seem to satisfy his hunger, this does. I mix them half and half so he gets the best all around looking at the ingredients. Glad to find this.

My dog has slimmed down and has more energy!
My rescue Beagle was click treated for several months, while at the shelter. After doing some basic research I contacted the manufacturer of Lean. I received both a callback and a very detailed email, addressing my questions and concerns. Halfway thru the first bag, my dog was noticeable trimmer and had more energy. My vet is constantly pushing Hill's Science Diet. I recently got a puppy and she frequently would not finish all of her Science Diet food. Annamaet sent me samples of their dry puppy food and she loves it. Highly recommended. Their treats are also really good.
