Fermenting Less Than Local Honey
I’m not convinced this is authentic honey. I’ve put this head to head with two local raw honeys. One in a traditional mead and the other in a cyser. In both, fermentation lacked severely compared to the others. It barely has made bubbles while the others have foamed heavily. The honey now seems sketchy to me and I don’t think I’ll be ordering again.

Very strong sweetness of sugar not authentic honey
I don't think this one is a real honey but a sugar mixed with some honey. Very strong sweetness of sugar not authentic honey. This is a fake honey. Don't buy it. I will not buy this fake product again.

Great honey
This honey has a great flavor and provides good flavors to a mead. I made a blueberry mead with this honey and it turned out really nice.I have seen some strange reviews with people saying this is cut with corn syrup, sugar, or something else because the honey didn't ferment in a mead, or was crystalized. Honey crystallizes, it's normal, and for meads not fermenting or tasting bad its probably the way you made your mead. Making a mead that is 20% is bound to taste aweful.Bottom line the honey tastes nice, I've used it, I like it!

This is the best buy on here and over time has proven to be well worth the purchase. Granted, it's not some posh and pricy 'MANUKA" OR "TEXAS WILD FLOWER" honey, but once it's in my tea I cannot taste the difference. It bakes well and is consistently crisp and flowery tasting and surprisingly clear for unboiled product. I've never detected them stretching their product with corn syrup as I have with some grocery shelf brands.

Best Honey for the Price and Taste!!!
I just ordered my 4th batch (I think) and I absolutely love this gem of a product for the combination of: great taste, exceptional consistency, best value, and being absolutely good for the health. For last 3-4 years now, I have started taking a glass of warm water, honey, lemon, and Sat-Isabgol (Psyllium Husk) , which I buy locally, first thing in the morning. This honey, along with rest of the things, makes me feel awake and provide a ton of health benefits as well.I recently bought a store brand honey for wife and kids (they make a mess pouring from the big bottle) and cannot even begin to explain how horrible that honey tasted, made me appreciate Lake Shore Honey even more. I almost feel tempted to buy a big batch of this honey and sell it locally, I am absolutely sure I can sell it all in a very short amount of time, once people get to taste a bit of this honey!

Great price for a yummy supply of honey
We’re a honey loving family. This is a great price for the amount of honey you get.The honey is mild tasting, and it has stayed clear and free flowing from start to finish. We’ll definitely be reordering this gem!

Seems great for mead
I bought this specifically to try for a gallon of mead (and some extra honey). I brewed 2 gallons of mead in other containers using other honey so I'm able to get a good gauge of how they are all doing in comparison to each other. A few of the other reviews had me a bit worried as they stated they did not ferment as well as their local honey. It's been roughly 4 days later on the gallon using this honey and a little over 5 days on my other honeys. I'm very glad to say that the fermentation in the mead using this honey is doing great. It's bubbling up really well and has basically caught up to the other 2 gallons. All three are using D47 yeast with 1 tsp of DAP nutrient and 3 lbs of honey. My only issue with this honey is that when I opened it I obviously gave it a big smell to compare to my other honey. The lake shore was DEFINITELY WAY more potent in smell. Compared to my others it was a really "heavy" smell. I gave it a taste though and it tasted fine. I'm very curious to see how it turns out in comparison to my other mead.2 of the gallons were "plain" mead. One was Lake Shore. The third is a melomel using oranges.Overall, the price is right on this. It's pretty amazing at the price for the quantity on this one. I'll definitely be continuing my recipe experiments using this stuff. 2 jugs will net you enough honey to make 3 gallons for less than $40 with honey to spare. A steal!I'll try to remember to follow up when it's done in some months time.

Great price, great quality
I'm using this honey to make mead and it's great. Best price so far and it's working beautifully. It tastes as good as any other honey. I'd eat it on toast.
