Making sense of other reviews...
This product isn't bad, but nor is it "EXCELLENT!" as others have been screaming. As someone who dislikes noise, and at night especially likes to shut out any interruptions, these foam earplugs are perfect, so I rate them 5 stars. I can still hear the dull hum of the fan on it's highest speed next to my bed, I can still hear the shrill tones of my mobile phone's alarm to wake me up in the morning but everything else seems to be dulled down or muted - especially wonderful in the summer when you leave your windows open and if like me you live in a crappy area - have yobs, drunks constantly shouting and talking past your house at early hours in the morning - I just can't hear them. For me, these are much better quality foam than all of the other foam earplugs I have used, they don't seem to want to pick up dirt and grease so readily, which is great for their re-usability - and you receive so many in the pack! . Do make a point of putting them in with very clean hands. What I love about amazon, and buying little items like this is, you can pick them up for a few pounds were as in Boots, this item would be considered it's 'premium' brand and they hike the price up to something eye-watering like £7.99. I give these 5 stars because they did exactly what I expected them to do, but with a quick (2 working day) free delivery and a better quality of foam than I expected. Will they completely drown out a loud snoring partner? Probably not. Will any earplug completely mute sound? I don't know.... Until you have tried every type of earplug (foam, silicone, wax) and in every brand! You can never really say "this is excellent. It's the best earplug." I don't believe these are... But with realistic expectations, they will improve your standard of living both day and night. Clean, easy and mess free - I would definitely buy again.

Great for people with small ear canals
I tried 2 makes of earplugs and these were by far the best!I have narrow ear canals and was undecided whether I should try the Howard Leight MAX or try the Quies Protection Auditive, in the end I ordered both. The first ones I used were the Howard Leights I found that they would not expand in the ear canal, instead they would expand and then pop out into the ear. without them blocking the ear canal they are about as useful as cotton wool, and I could hear my husband breathing never mind snoring!. The material they are made from is smooth and shiny but also slightly sticky which means it drags on the inside of your ear. when I woke up in the morning the ear plugs were in the bed and I had a burst blister in the inside of my ear. A few days later when my blister healed I tried the Quies. they were smaller, fitted nicely inside the canal and didn't pop out, the material is soft and velvety and did not cause any discomfort. The plugs were still in place in the morning I dont hear any noise with them in.

Dead Silence (almost)
I've become increasingly sensitive to noise especially when trying to sleep. These babies have saved me so much headache and frustration. They just simply work. Not much else to say. They're the most comfortable plugs I've used. Little to no irritation (others just obliterate my inner ear causing bad irritation from prolonged use). I love me.

Great ear plugs
I have had trouble both with sleeping ( neighbours tv noise and music/shouting) and dealing with the copious levels of noise when travelling ( mobile phone conversations , ring tones, ipod noise etc- those so called "personal" music players drive me mental-especially when there are multiple ones on the go!) and these are the first ear plugs I have found that really help-either by reducing it so much that it isn't a problem-or totally blocking it out.I have tried every type of ear plug over the years ( wax, silicone, foam ) and they usually only achieve one type of blocking -if at all- but these are great and do both. Also, they don't crease or get smaller or discolour, and they would never be too small and face the risk of them going too far into the ear and finding it hard to get them out again! You just gently roll it to be a bit smaller and in it goes, hold it in place for a few seconds to let it expand again- and peace perfect peace...The only thing that annoys me is the exhorbitant cost for the flesh coloured version (£10 for those ones, as opposed to £3 for the multi coloured ones).Great product.

Comfy to wear
I've tried a few types of ear plugs to block out unwanted noise while sleeping. I generally find this type the most comfortable to use and they certainly do block out noise. When I first bought them I didn't think they were very good as I would wake in the night and find that the earplugs had fallen out. The trick seems to be to roll them a short while & compress them between your fingertips, elongate them slightly and immediately insert them in to your ear while they are still elongated and warm. Slowly they will uncompress and fit your ear perfectly and snugly.Inevitably after many uses they start to lose their effectiveness. A quick wash in hot water using anti-bacterial hand wash, dry out on a radiator, and they're fit for use again. I get about 2 or 3 cycles out of them before they degrade and start to break up. At this point it wouldn't be a good idea to insert them in my ear.I've now bought two batches of these, as eventually they do wear out completely.

Great for Planes, Shooting & Sleeping
I have used these ear plugs whilst sleeping, shooting and traveling on planes and find they are great for all 3 occasions. They are very simple to use, simply squeeze or roll them so they are thin sausage shaped, place them in your ears and they will start to expand back to their original shape. Once expanded you can only imagine what everyone around is calling you as you really can't hear a thing!I can't complain about the price to be honest. Yes, they cost more than some, but they just feel better. The quality of the foam is really good and i'm sure you could re-use these a few times before the foam starts to lose some of its re-shaping qualities once in your ear.
