Very good value if you already own a battery
I already have another Makita drill ( an SDS one ) with two 10.8V batteries and a charger. So this made financial sense and the drill/driver works really well. It has a built work light that comes on if you start the drill but then stays on for a while to allow you to put the drill bit against the item to be drilled. Hence you can see what you are doing more easily in low light conditions. A little heavier than I expected but that probably means its made from better quality components.

NO BATTERY
On top of the description, it should say there is no battery. What a waste of time who would want to buy this without a battery !!!!

Drill chuck has gravel or sand from previous use
The media could not be loaded. 2 stars for item as it was previously used the chuck had dust particles trapped5 stars for deliveryAlso on speed test it only revved up to 1410 rpm against rated 1700!

Not So Great Buy!
My bad, it was (known to me) a second hand one.What I didn't know was that someone before me had donesomething to it. So my batteries who work fine with otherMakita equipment didn't work with this device.No more second hand stuff for me. 😂
