Before I ordered these I was using Badia brand arbol chiles...these are a lot hotter than Badia. Overall though, good product, probably perfect for someone who is used to fire. There aren't many stems as mentioned in some other comments. Good value, you could probably make 30 batches of salsa roja or so.

Was unsure about making this order but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The peppers arrived fresh, clean and packed plenty of heat. Recommend.

I love the flavor of these chiles. They are also fresh and whole, not cracked and broken. Will buy again, but not for a while, because it's a huge amount. For the best salsa, I toast about 8-10 of these on a hot skillet (comal) for one second on each side (pressing down with a fork), hold by the stem. Add chiles with seeds (take off the stems!) to blender and blend with about four or five toasted tomatillos, 1-2 cloves toasted garlic, and salt to taste. Simple yet sublime!

A pound is literally all of the Chile De Arbol peppers you will ever need in your whole existence. By the way, not one bit of pepper dust in the bottom of the bag, nice job! Bad news: I bought a big ass bag of peppers that I probably won't end up using. Moral of the story, a pound of Chile De Arbol peppers seems like a solid deal, because it is. But, you probably don't need it unless you are making arts and crafts with spicy food. A+

Good product and they are HOT ! I would buy them again or recommend them to others. They come nice and clean in good packaging but wear food prep gloves and don't touch your face or you will spend the next few hours in pain.

These are great on two levels great value and great product.

Use the skins/flesh in an electric coffee grinder with a blade to make pepper flakes for food. My face is on fire from no gloves. Will last a very long time.

These are very flavorfull chilies and go great with just about anything I've use them in chili, put them on burgers and brats, chopped some up to mix with red beans and rice and put some in fettuccine alfredo! They are hot but not overbearingly so, I wud say the heat is somewhere between a Serrano pepper and a thai chili. Plus you get a huge bag much bigger than I was expecting!
