Ok budget Router, good for this price
it meets my needs, not sure about yours.if you plan to use this one as wifi extender, be careful. like most other routers, it has a weak receiving antenna and relatively strong broadcasting antenna. Even $100 amped wifi extender router has similar problem (not as obvious though). So, you need to check carefully about what you want.As for my needs, I just want to use this one together with my TPLink 841 to make a low price home use system: support b/g/n, 2.4GHz, one for primary home use with complicated password and strict Mac filtering; the second one for occasional guest use with simple password when necessary. So this one as my secondary router, it works just fine. It is about 8 feet away from my primary router, so the signal could be strong. and I put it under my coffee table, which is central of my living room. all the visitors will have nice strong signal when they are here.I have tried to put this one in another room, slightly far from my primary router. like others said, the speed is not as good. But for such a low price, you can't expect it should work the same as over $100 ones. it deserves its 4 stars. The last thing is to check how long it could survive. All of my older router dies or dropped after 4-5 years use (amped, linksys, netgear etc). That's the main reason I only need low budget routers. I will buy again if it could survive 4 years.

its working like a charm and I'm about a week into it ...
Unlike some of the other reviewers, I didn't get the router just for review purposes. My Netgear began acting strangely, including inconsistent speeds, constant dropping, and an inability to "play nice" with my cable modem. So, I bought this via Prime figuring it could be returned if it turned out that I shouldn't have bought a $13 router! As it turns out, its working like a charm and I'm about a week into it now. Set-up and admin didn't seem as simple as my previous couple routers, but I think that has to do with the age of my previous routers. And I got used to the admin screens quickly. The only issue I had with the set-up process was that I couldn't get the router to successfully request the IP and gateway from my cable modem. But that was kind of a "duh" moment when after 30 minutes I realized I should simply try to turn the modem off and then on. Once I did that the router picked up the IP and gateway right away.In terms of usage, I get excellent signal strength to all 3 levels of my house and I don't even have it placed it an optimal spot. I consistently get internet speeds into the low and mid 20's from a 25mb Comcast connection. Very happy so far!

excellent price and it suit my needs
I read the reviews and was debating if I should order this. Router did come with a quick installation sheet and I followed the step by step directions but it did not appear on my computer and I thought I set it up incorrectly. I reset the device and repeated the setup again and still nothing. I also updated recently to windows 10 so I wasn't sure if that was a problem so I use my tablet to see if it could "see" the router and it did so I restart my computer to see if that would work; then the router showed on my Wi-Fi network. I had to do restart my computer a few times over the last month when my router and all available networks seem to disappear but it could be the Windows 10. I don't have the same issues with my tablet.I have a small apartment so I don't have the out of range issues and connection issues other reviewers complained about. I think it was well worth the $13 I had paid for it but I only had it for ~1 month.

The key features are its many options for being an easy to setup Wifi Repeater
Most of us would prefer to buy quality name brand products. Introducing the JCG WIFI Router. It most blatantly is a Chinese companies version of more expensive name brands we all know about. Thankfully it has better branding than most. But don't let that scare you away. What a pleasant surprise this router gave us. Its dead simple to setup and it simply works and in difficult environments. The key features are its many options for being an easy to setup Wifi Repeater.Simply login and change the IP to a new one so it doesn't conflict with your primary router. After it rebooted (we choose) repeater mode. Next do a site survey and make sure your password and settings match your primary wifi router settings.Once you've done that set your new JCG WIFI router at the edge of your current signal range which is now easily extended. While this router does have three antennas unfortunately they do not detach. With all of the enhanced features built in however, this WIFI router is definitely worth looking at.

Stable, powerful router. Probably the best router for the money
I was on a bit of a journey to find a router that would cover my 3000 sq foot victorian home. This is impossible so I figured I would I would buy this router due to the price and if it worked well I would buy another to act as a repeater. I have only bought on because this 13$ router gives better coverage then my $300 cradlepoint that it has replaced. It has been stable for 30+ days of uptime and the user interface is very easy. I love how the lights on the router are very dim and only noticeable if trying to look at them, this way they are not blinking like crazy and disturbing you if the room is dark. Great router for the money and completely stable with many user options.

Some of the negative reviews on here are ludicrous. ...
Some of the negative reviews on here are ludicrous. You have to wonder what people expect for such a low price. I install satellite internet for a living, and use about 5-7 of these routers a week. I'm not ashamed to say I choose this one becaue of the price. But, I am supposed to find that having used about 30-35 of these so far I have not had a single DOA. I've had a couple that were dropping in and out, but resolved after a reboot following first boot up. There is no reason not to buy this router for your small home or dorm or office if money is your main concern. If what you want is rock solid reliability and performance, what on earth are you doing looking at a $12 router anyway?
