A Very Reliable Way to Keep Your Passwords Safe
I have been using the Password Safe for over 10 years. It is fantastic.ProsAs there is no connectivity to this device, there is no easy way to hack into it.This is little risk of losing data due to power failure as the device has two-battery system using 3 AAA batteries and a replaceable Lithium battery. It is durable as my original for personal passwords has been working for over 10 years.ConsSearching for records is very case sensitive.Because it has no ports, you cannot back the data up to another system. My solution was to buy another Password Safe so I had a backup of my passwords.I recently purchased a new Password Safe as a gift to my niece as she mentioned her password were compromised when her online password app was hacked. If you want peace of mind on your security, I would recommend you get the Password Safe.

Seller is Fine but not totally satisfied with product.
Product is difficult to enter data on such a small unit. I will work with it since the navigation will be much easier after all the initial data is loaded into the device.

Don't Forget The Pass Code
Easy to use and very useful, especially for those passwords that are not used often. I wish there was a way to backup to a thumb drive and transfer to a now unit. Broke my old one and had to retype all that info into the new one. This is NOT A TOY.

Works like it's supposed to
Despite some of the negative feedback, I decided to order this, as it received the highest ratings of all of these types of devices. I just started entering the passwords today and found it straightforward and relatively easy, even without looking to see if there were any instructions (I still don't know as I haven't looked to see if any are provided). I made a couple of quickly corrected errors, realizing that the shift key only works on the keys with with secondary icons that are in red. To change between upper and lower case letters, you have to hit the caps lock button, once to change from upper to lower case and again to change back. That's basically it. Just remember to press the key firmly, to make sure it is entered. The setup is easy and the unit walks you through it, the first time that you use it. You start by entering a 4-16 DIGIT, not LETTER, password for the unit, itself and you're good to go. There are four toggle keys at the top right around an OK button, that you use to jog around the unit, forward, back, up & down. There's a light key for seeing the screen in low light and a red on/off key, the Caps Lock, & Shift keys and a second OK key. There's a recessed reset button and a recessed erase button ( I'm assuming to erase an entry, without resetting the whole unit, but I haven't checked that out). That's pretty much the whole working of the unit.

Works fine, very good manual, no lost P/Ws when using Edit, nice backlit function. 4.8 Stars, CDW
Bought Password Safe 090419, delivered 090719. It measures 4-7/8" (12cm) by 3-1/2" (9 cm) wide & about 1" thick (it tapers to 3/8").Cons: no comma, semi-colon, lower case x looks like H, & I couldn't get the - to work.Pros: Easy to handle & make entries, backlight really helps in a darkened room.Eval: I entered 5 URLs with passwords (recorded elsewhere) and edited each in turn. After entering a new password I turned the device off, then on again. None of the other URLs or passwords were erased or altered in any way (previous complaint). You can enter passwords of 20 to 22 characters (it varies), depending on which characters are used. Since my passwords are longer I often wrote "see below" in the password area and entered the password in the Notes area. I also made comments like "entry #3 is a small X, not an H", or "character = is a dash -" , or " : is a comma"., etc. Screen entries are much easier to read than entries made on the Royal Password Vault, which I evaluate elsewhere. I would have evaluated other competitors, but no one sent me one.Summary: This is a useful, easy to use device for recording spur-of-the-moment passwords. It may also keep you from logging in to untrustworthy networks while traveling. Stars were reduced because the comma, semi-colonand dash were omitted.Worth having, worth the money, glad I bought it. 4.8 Stars. CDW

Software glitch ruins otherwise good idea
Worked great-- easy to type with even with huge hands, an easy interface to use, overall very simple and secure. I did note some problems putting the batteries in, but eventually worked it out. I was happy... until I found a glitch. And this is a glitch that invalidates the entire device for me and is why I no longer use it.If you want to edit a password, you certainly can. However, at least on my device, which otherwise works well, the device does two things.1. It will erase a password. I cannot discern a rhyme or reason as to which one it erases, but this has happened multiple times. And you cannot recover it. You can imagine how fun this was when I had just created a password that was very complicated for a site I rarely use. Did I write it down elsewhere? No. Did I learn a lesson? No, because I did it again with the same result. Awesome.2. It will save the password you edited, but also create a new entry for the old password. That's right-- edit 1 password entry, get both the old and the new entry appearing in the search screen...and erase 1 password at random. This is where I thought I was losing my mind--surely it was my error, not the Password Safe, which keeps passwords...safe. That is, until it happened a second time...and a third, and then on command.I think this is a great idea but this product is not the ideal embodiment of that idea. I see the other positive reviews and am wondering if I just got a defective product. That would be odd since the device works fine in every other way, but it is possible. If I were you, I'd wait a little bit to see if this product is still around in a few weeks, to see if more people have experienced the same thing. Or, you could buy it, try what I've described above, and if it works, then great, keep it. If not, save the packaging and return it.
