All of our Japanese style cast iron teapot cups, saucers, and trivets come in jet black and are very high quality. They complete any lonely cast iron teapot!

Good Quality, Trust the Description, Not the Picture
Seem like they're very high quality. They're nice and heavy, the thermal mass seems to be just about perfect for sucking a bit of heat out of the tea so you don't burn yourself, but then keeping it hot for longer than a ceramic cup. The finish seems well adhered; it's a glossy black enamel on the inside and a matte black on the outside. The finish is definitely black it's not gray like the image shows which is slightly disappointing. In real life there's basically zero difference in contrast between the inside and outside. Luckily I like them enough despite the color difference that I'm going to keep them, no harm in getting an even bigger collection, right? :)

lovely but...
These are beautiful cups, and they're nice and heavy. I like the enamel/porcelain (whatever the smooth interior is) interior of them. But it seems like the cast iron must suck the heat out of the tea, leaving, within a short span of time, lukewarm tea and a cup that I can barely hold (because the cup itself is so hot to the touch). They're beautiful, though.

Pretty but chips
Nice cups, they are classy looking. However the outer coating is chipping off upon first use. I may have to return them.

Good quality. Very sturdy and clean design
Good quality. Very sturdy and clean design. Dropped one from about 4 feet onto our hardwood floor and it was perfectly fine. Great product.
