Being winter here I didn't get to try this battery until yesterday. It is a replacement for another manufacturer's battery that started flashing red when I tried to charge it.I was concerned about using a 40v battery in a 38v charger and cordless yard tool. Everything on the seller's Amazon web page said it would work. It worked great!And it did it at less than half the cost of a battery from the manufacturer.My apologies to the seller for taking so long to review it. Thanks for a great product at a great price!P. Quit charging 3 days after return window

The batteries worked just as advertised. They held the charge well and I noted no weakness in power. However, the photo next to this item online shows the batteries with a "power gauge" showing four LED lights to represent the amount of power available. These replacement batteries have NO LIGHTS on them. You might want to change the pic online. Thanks!

SUBJECT TO CHANGE!I purchased this for my 36vBlack and Decker blower which I love but it's battery was beyond a need for replacement and unfortunately they discontinued the old battery, well renamed it essentially to the 40V model.However brand name replacements cost nearly as much as a new blower which is highway robbery if you ask me.So I found this and similar "knockoffs" but ultimately chose this over the overwhelming positive reviews. It seems like it may cause issue with the weed whips though as several reviews say the battery fried the tool.Only used it briefly but:1.Came fully charged2.Has the button to see how charged3. Blower strength seems improved although the old battery was pretty oldIf I have issues I will update but so far this seems like the way to go

I was excited about the positive reviews, so I took a risk. The battery worked fine last summer. However, when we tried charging it 1 year later, it failed. Ughhh...

The battery worked in my Black and Decker CM1640 lawn mover. The charge held a little longer than the original battery. The battery charged fine in the charger that came with the mower. The one slightly annoying aspect is that the green LEDS indicating the level of charge are hidden when the battery is inserted in the mower or charger.

I waited awhile to write this review, and happy to report this is a great purchase. My B&D Leaf Blower came with a 35V battery, that was shot and could not recharge. Then, they discontinued the model and all batteries. When I found this online I was skeptical but figured I'd give it a try before ditching the whole tool and buying new. Well, this battery is better than the original one when new. It was a little hard inserting into the blower but after a few times it pops in just fine. No issues in operation, lasts a long time, and saved me money and the environment by keeping this tool going. Thanks a bunch!
