Hi these cannot be put in the oven, I don't know about steaming. You could wash them in hot water and rinse with boiling water. Hope this helps

The tray is half silicon, half plastic. You push the silicon to make easy release for ice. The lid is plastic. They are very sturdy.

You get 2 trays with lids, I use ward water on the bottom of the tray to help release the cubes then face down and press, it won't work if you over fill the cubes
