Marineland Diamond Blend 23 Ounces, Ammonia-Neutralizing Zeolite And Carbon, aquarium Filter Media

I scoop out my cat's litter box daily. Even so, unless all the litter is dumped and replaced, a subtle, ammonia based smell of the contaminated litter continues to permeate the air in the room. I found this product, and purchased it in hopes of "fixing" this problem. And it WAS a problem. Especially if that odor is in close proximity to bedding, fabric window coverings, furniture, and most importantly, otherwise "clean" clothing you intend to wear. In my case, dress shirts, suits, and ties, hanging in a closet. I didn't fully realize this until a coworker I went to lunch with, asked me if I owned "a cat." Or "cats." Ugh! "Embarrassing", is an understatement. I guess I was just used to it, and didn't even really notice it, or think it was an issue. But trust me, people around you DO notice it, and it IS an issue. Few people will be kind enough to actually say anything to you about it. And I'm glad he did, because as embarrassing as it was, by doing so, it prompted me look for a way to solve it. Moving the litter box, or getting rid of my cat, were NOT options. So I gave this zeolite ammonia neutralizer a shot, and it worked like a champ. It's actually pretty powerful stuff. I started off with fresh litter, and every time I scoop it out now, I sprinkle the equivalent of what will fill up the average laundry detergent bottle cap. Right in, on top of the litter. The difference it makes in preventing the odor is nothing short of incredible. The absence of the smell in the house now, is definitely noticeable. I've since had everything in the closet RE-dry cleaned. And my coworker says I no longer smell like I slept at the local animal shelter before work. This is an OUTSTANDING PRODUCT if you have a cat, or cats. : ? )

Once my favorite brand of cat litter containing activated charcoal was discontinued, I could not find a comparable product anywhere. So I searched Amazon and found this Marineland product intended for aquariums, but discovered it has 2 types of crystals, one charcoal and the other ammonia absorbing, with the crystals small enough to sift through the litter scoop when cleaning my 2 cats' box. This product is affordable and is the "best thing since sliced bread" in my opinion. Putting 1 to 2 capfuls in the litter each time new litter is added to the box (every 2 to 3 days) keeps all odor absorbed and nonexistent to the smell test, even inches from the box. All cat litter brands are woefully insufficient by themselves at controlling odor, no matter if you scoop the box 2 to 3 times per day. Guests only know we have 2 cats in a 1000 sf apartment when we tell them (the cats hide for a few minutes when any guest comes in). I will continue to buy this miracle product.

This is the SUPER GREATEST PRODUCT for helping keep aquarium water clean and clear! I inhertied my mother's fish tank which was a murky mess. Cleaning the tank and changing the water didn't do any good, within a couple hours, the murk would return. I could only see the fish if they happened to come to the front of the tank. After reading through various reveiws of different products for clearing aquarium water, I chose this product to experiment with. I refilled the filter cartridge with the Zeolite blend, placed it the filter and crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Within two hours time, the murky water was completely clear!!! Well worth the money! Will definitely order more!

Like this product & have used for decades on show fish. Only disappointment was it was late showing up & smaller quantity. Photo was the big jars that would have been tremendous value.

I have been using another product from API for going on 15 years and was always pretty happy with the health of my tanks.Once that product became unavailable for Subscribe and Save, I switched to the Marineland media. I have used their filtration systems for a long time, so I decided to try this media while I still had some backup of the other stuff.Immediate impression - This media is so much cleaner. Rinsing was a messy chore with API and this product cleaned up and was ready to go in no time.Also, the over uniformity of size made it easier to rinse and settle in the media bags.After three days of running on this media, my tank is as clear as if I were using a sand filtration system. I am amazed at the cleaning power of this product and there is no odor at all coming from the tank.Pricing is a little more than the competitor, but the lack of waste producing in prepping it for use makes up for the slight cost increase.

I first got this product, and I disliked it tremendously. I tried everything that the reviewers said to do, but I would always get a cloudy tank. I rinsed the blend thoroughly, I created a pouch using aquarium filter, aquarium floss, but still a cloudy tank. Then I started using mesh pouches. Following the same process of rinsing, and now not a cloudy tank. I believe that there is too much extra fine blend in the product, but when it is all out, it works great. 5 stars after figuring it out. Plus, the mesh pouches are a lot easier to use.

I use this for the top of our litter box that low like a planter. The litter box initially came with fake grass to put before the leaves but I have a cat that will eat ANYTHING paper, plastic or stringy so I opted to not use the grass and originally was looking for fish tank gravel but then I found this! Amazing to keep the litter smell under control. I used maybe 1/5 of the container and it’s been there now for a month and still working great. I figure once it stops working I’ll just toss it and replace it every so often since I have plenty left.

this is good for cloudy water for your aqurium helped some but not a lot

Tengo un filtro fluval con dos esponjas, tienen un hueco en el centro, que contenía unas pelotitas de plástico, a mi parecer inservibles. Se las quité y las esponjas, las llené con el carbón y la zeolita, ¡Que maravilla! Tiene una semana que no cambio el agua y me duran más los filtros de cascada. Compraré el de 1.2 kg.

Se notan los cambios desde el primer día de uso, solamente es NECESARIO lavar con abundante agua la porción que vayas a utilizar antes de ponerla en el filtro!

Aún no ocupo el producto pero creí que venía con más zeolita que carbón activado
