A sturdy anchor to feel secure
While this is a bit more money than I intended to pay, this makes the small camera experience much more doable. The grip on the x-t30 is definitely small, and when I am reaching for it quickly I found I had to be extra careful with touching buttons accidentally. This solves that problem. Now when I reach for the camera, the middle of my thumb instinctively reaches for the grip and I can comfortably walk around with the camera in my hand like this, using this thumb grip as my main point of contact with the camera. When I want to line up a shot, my thumb slides down to its tip and all of the controls are easy to access. It feels very sturdy and I am very happy with this.

Solid; won't stress the hotshoe
The Fujifilm XT30 is a super little camera with one *really* annoying flaw: the quickmenu button is right on the built-in grip, EXACTLY where your thumb will land 90% of the time. You're forever finding that you can't take a picture because this silly button has brought the quickmenu up. The obvious solution is to use one of the many thumbgrips. Many is an understatement. The thing that worried me about these was that they all seemed to depend on being seated in the hotshoe, with nothing to keep them from applying serious torque to the hotshoe itself. A disaster waiting to happen. THIS one, however, is specifically fitted for this camera and has a little rubber nubbin that hits the body just below where your thumb presses on it. Net: no torque on the hotshoe. For what it is, it's kinda crazy expensive, but it eliminates a major frustration and prevents expensive repairs so in the end, worth it.

Damn, this was expensive.
I'm a tall person with big hands, and this with the addition of a grip helped a lot! I think it's a bit expensive even for a specialty item, but I appreciate the quality engineering of it. I think any of the other available options would be a disappointment compared to this.

Maybe for small hand people?
I was excited to try this grip, since my hands are a little too large to confidently hold my XT-30.Unfortunate once I put it on, my hands still feel like they are too large, since the grip makes me hold the camera at a weird angle, forcing my thumb to sit awkwardly, even worst than with just the camera by it self.I don't have mittens for hands. But they are in between Medium and Large.I imagine if you have small hands, this grip might work perfectly for you.Bummed about this, since it is built with great quality and it seemed great on paper.

For my X-T30 it’s a must-have!
Pricey compared to the cheap knock-offs, but I’m so happy to have this on my X-T30. Much easier to handle without accidentally hitting buttons and I’m more confident in my grip. Doesn’t feel like I’m about to fumble and drop the camera anymore. I really appreciate the rubber pad for comfort and increased tackiness where my thumb rests. Top notch build quality.

Works as advertised
Helps with handling a small camera if you have larger hands.

Very well-designed and works great
It fit perfectly on my X-T30. The little protrusion on the arm does a good job of stabilizing the thumb grip and there is a rubber-like insert where my thumb rests. It works very well. However, you need to adjust your grip slightly to rest the bottom of the camera a little lower in your hand so your thumb falls properly on the thumb rest. It pretty much eliminates accidental presses of the Q button and makes it much easier to shoot one-handed as well.

functional addition
A very good fit for the Fuji X-t30 camera and much needed grip but it's too pricey.
